Knows When the LORD Jesus Christ Returns?
To Honor Jesus Christ,
God, Encourage Believers, & Warn All
information is offered with the hope that YOU can
come to KNOW the Lord
Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation , and kingdom against kingdom : and there shall be famines , and pestilences, and earthquakes , in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows .
These SORROWS will BEGIN as recorded in Revelation Chapter 6. The Rapture will come first .
A FALSE PEACE will come and THEN-
1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them , as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
For a possible timeline see this . The EXACT day of Jesus Christ's coming can be known AFTER the TRIBULATION BEGINS. This is because the LENGTH of the Tribulation is revealed in the Bible. (See the Biblical Chart showing the 2 periods of 1260 days each, already revealed )
So, what does the following verse mean?
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
It MUST refer to the RAPTURE of the church (represented in Revelation 4:1), the DAY and HOUR for which is UNKNOWN.
However, this too only refers to the DAY and HOUR, not to the week, month, year, or general time frame. This RAPTURE will be a SURPRISE .
Before the Tribulation begins you can NOT know the Day and Hour of the Rapture. Once the Tribulation begins, the Rapture will have already taken place.
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch [range of hours] the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
THE FOOLISH WILL BE SURPRISED
Matthew 24:48-51 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming ; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
THE WISE WILL NOT BE SURPRISED
Matthew 25:4-9 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
THE BIBLE SAYS WE CAN S E E the DAY APPROACHING
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching .
THE "DAY OF THE LORD" - THE TIMING OF ITS START
1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
[WHEN Does it Come?]
1 Thessalonians 5:2-6 For when they [the unbelieving left behind] shall say, Peace and safety ; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape . But ye, brethren , [the believers] are not in darkness , that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
So, when, the people believe that "Peace and Safety" has been achieved, the Rapture will come suddenly and then comes sudden destruction- the events of Revelation 6-19.
Read about the United Nations Peace Theme for September 21, 2017 and compare it to 1Thess 5:2-6 above.
What happens when they say PEACE and SAFETY?
For when they [the unbelieving left behind] shall say, Peace and safety ; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape
WE WILL NOT GO THROUGH "THE WRATH" [the Tribulation of Revelation 6- 19]
1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
One thing we need to understand is that the
"Day of the Lord" is a period of time
that starts with
the Rapture of the believers,
the 7-year tribulation period [84 months x 30 days each, 2520 days],
half of which is "forty and two months", or "times (2), time(1) and half a time" (half a year ) = 3 and one half years, or 1260 days],
the 1000 year reign of Christ,
the renovation of the earth by fire "in which the elements shall melt with fervent heat."
Note: the 7-year tribulation period is also known as Daniel's 70th week. This "week" lasts seven years. The reason we know it lasts 7 years is that the other 69 "weeks" have ALREADY been fulfilled and they lasted EXACTLY 69 x 7 (483) years. See Daniel 9:24-26. It is in the "midst of the week" [the 3 and one half year point] that "Great Tribulation" begins. See Mathew 23:15 which are the words of Jesus Christ that tie together the calculations of Daniel and Revelation.
For calculations in Revelation, see Rev 12:14, Rev 11:2, Rev 13:5.
