Revelation 6:2   And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow ; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer .

03-28-2003
The real importance of the Iraqi War is that it ESTABLISHES PREEMPTIVE WAR as a NEW DOCTRINE .  Eventually, this doctrine will lead to the OPENING ACT of the tribulation period - CONQUERING and TO CONQUER .  The EXACTNESS of this phrasing is amazing!  The antichrist (the man on the white horse) is not only going "conquering" (in other words he has an immediate target), but also "to conquer " (he has a PROGRAM of war).  This sounds similar to the fight against "terrorism."  Such a doctrine (anti-terrorism) will have been transformed (expanded?) by the coming political situation. In other words, the need to EXPAND this war against other nations in the region will become a reality according to the Bible.

When this page was started the main idea was that the Invasion of Iraq could represent Revelation 6:2.  Time has shown us that Revelation 6:2 awaits fulfillment (because the Rapture of Revelation 4:1 has not occurred).  One thing is for certain - the BOW (military arsenal) is now in the region.
End 03-28-2003

If you read the press over the last several months you find an on-going discussion of  the coming US-led invasion of Iraq.  The hawks are saying to invade, the doves are saying to find a way to depose Saddam Hussein without war.  There is a debate on whether or not Saddam Hussein is a terrorist sponsor, especially of the Al-Qaeda variety.  However, the President of the United States has publicly referred to Iraq as a member of the "axis of evil."  In a recent speech at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY,  President Bush called for action and stated that we could not sit idly by while terrorists prepared to attack us. He, in essence, was calling for a preemptive strike.  Go to Yahoo.com and search for "Invasion of Iraq" and you will find a great deal of information on this subject.

One such site is http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_577944.html

Here we find that "CIA says Iraq invasion the only way to depose Saddam " and "The CIA has warned US President George Bush that a large scale invasion of Iraq is the only way to overthrow Saddam Hussein ."

"Instead [of a coup] CIA special intelligence director George Tenet told Mr Bush earlier this month that a full invasion is the best option for toppling Hussein, according to USA Today. It follows reports that the Bush administration is developing a blueprint for an attack involving up to 250,000 troops ."

This preparation for war could produce the "bow " for the antichrist to use.  Notice that in the text " he that sat on him HAD a bow ." The implication here is that he already possessed the " bow ."

Before the real Mideast Biblical war (after Saddam is deposed?) begins, there will be (if this scenario holds, there is another referenced below), a STAGGERING, SHOCKING event that will have the impact of 9-11 times 1000 .  As significant as 9-11 was, this coming event will DWARF 9-11 .   The population of the United States will be radically altered, because a huge number of people will suddenly vanish.   Many will be driving cars and flying planes.  Suddenly the drivers and pilots will disappear causing a huge number of simultaneous accidents, all of which will require fire, police, and ambulances.

Children will vanish and parents will anguish.  Mail will be sent and no one will be there to receive it.  Bills will be left unpaid and contracts will be become meaningless.  Credit cards will be left on the scenes and subsequently stolen, houses will be broken into because evil men seize the opportunity to steal.  The demand for martial law will accelerate.

1. People will not know the cause of the disappearance and panic will set in.

It COULD take a couple of months for the "normalcy" to return, but as efforts are made to quell the panic, the crisis in the MidEast will continue.  Efforts will be made to reassure the Arabic nations and the Israelis that "peace" will be the objective.  This could be the MidEast peace "confirmation" process.   The antichrist , though already sponsored by the West, now is placed in a position of increased leadership.  So, he starts to do his appointed tasks.  Significantly, the political landscape will have changed.  Many who opposed attacking Iraq will be gone.  The Spirit of God (in the believers) will have left the earth.

At the outset of the 7-year tribulation period, the antichrist is said to " confirm [enforce] the covenant [peace] with many for one week [7 years] ."   This marks the beginning of the 7-year tribulation period described in Revelation 6 - 19.

Continuing with the Ananova website, we read -
"The proposal, which would be similar to the 1991 Gulf War offensive, is unlikely to take place until early next year allowing time to create the right military, economic and diplomatic conditions , the New York Times said ."

He will not use the " bow " at first.  Before this happens " diplomatic and economic conditions" must be met.
Could the following represent the " diplomatic and economic conditions ?"

2. Preparation for enforcement of a peace agreement
3. Establishment of the Palestinian ruler

To substantiate this scenario, the Ananova website further states-

"Andy Bacevich, a retired army officer who teaches national security at Boston University, said the operation could be extremely risky if British and US forces do not have support from other European or Arab nations ." [and]
"Arab allies of the US have told Mr Bush they will not back an invasion while the turmoil in the Middle East continues ",

These comments show that the peace must be made and the support of Arab nations elicited (a Palestinian state?) before
4. invasion is accepted .
"conquering" scenarios might be like this .

5. Once this time period starts, people will be left with AWFUL Choices .

There are media reports of using Jordan as a staging area for invading Iraq.

Addition 07-13-2002
Jordan to allow US use of bases to attack Iraq?   According to a report in the UK's Observer we find:

American military planners are preparing to use Jordan as a base for an assault on Iraq later this year or early in 2003, The Observer can reveal. Although leaked Pentagon documents appear to show that Turkey, Kuwait and the small Gulf state of Qatar would play key roles, it is believed that Jordan will be the 'jumping-off' point for an attack that could involve up to 250,000 American troops and forces from Britain and other key US allies.

Jordan, with good roads and communications, would be perfect for the launch of an American armoured force, military analysts say. Its capital, Amman, is linked to Baghdad by a 600-mile motorway that cuts through a virtually featureless desert - perfect terrain for US tanks and high-precision air-launched munitions.

Here is the link.
http://www.observer.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,750845,00.html

From the Mercury News we read-
An official of the National Security Council, Sean McCormack, said the administration would not comment on war planning, but noted that ``Jordan is a close friend and ally.''

Indeed, there are several signs that military cooperation between Washington and Jordan is increasing. The administration has requested $25 million from Congress as part of a larger emergency spending bill to provide Jordan with military equipment and ``upgrades for land and air base defense,'' as well as border security, said a congressional aide. House and Senate negotiators are working to put the finishing touches on the package.

The military's Central Command, which is responsible for planning military operations in 25 countries from the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean, has rated the construction projects in Jordan among its highest priorities , one official said. Some of the American aid could go toward lengthening runways at two Jordanian air bases, Al-Jafr and Al-Azraq, to accommodate larger planes, the official said.

Two weeks ago, Gen. Tommy Franks, the head of American forces in the Middle East, met in Amman with Abdullah and with the defense minister and the senior military officer. Col. Ray Shepherd, speaking for Franks, said the meeting was a routine visit.

Internal military planning over how to use Jordanian bases comes as the broad outlines of a plan to attack Iraq are evolving and apparently working their way through military channels.

The antichrist will allow the Palestinians to escape .  Who are the "Palestinians"?   Answer: western Jordanians.

This scenario is consistent with what the Bible says.  Time will tell about this, but, could the "blessed hope" be too far?

You know, the timing of this is dependent upon the work of the Spirit and His hindering of "iniquity."

2 Thessalonians 2:7-8   For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.    And then shall that Wicked be revealed , whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

The rapture will come and then all the rest will proceed.

Ultimately, the objective of the military campaigns is a new political "entity ."

Update 7-20-2002
Alternatively, another sequenced scenario could be this.

For some time now we have been saying that the endtimes " bow" (or military capacity ) of the antichrist would arise in Iraq and environs amidst the "beast" kingdom of the antichrist (an "Arab" phenomenon eventually becoming a 10-nation Arab confederacy ).
Such a confederacy will actually be a lead element of the " war on terror ".  Read the news reports dated April 30, 2004 of the so-called "exit strategy" of the United States presence in Iraq.

The purported rationale for such a " bow " is the establishment of "peace" or a "security zone" within the Middle East.

Previously we did not know exactly how the United States military would be used to develop such a " bow " scenario.  However, today, the wait is over.  We have news reports of the United States military's commanding general saying he will be RECRUITING MUSLIMS FROM SURROUNDING NATIONS to JOIN THE NEWLY FORMING IRAQI MILITARY .  Friends, we are watching the string on the BOW being drawn back.

U.S. Marines hand over some positions in Fallujah

By BASSEM MROUE, Associated Press

FALLUJAH, Iraq (April 30, 5:55 pm PDT)

Led by a former Saddam Hussein general, Iraqi troops replaced U.S. Marines on Friday and raised the Iraqi flag at the entrance to Fallujah under a plan to end the monthlong siege of the city. A suicide car bomb on the outskirts that killed two Americans and wounded six failed to disrupt the pullout of Marines from bitterly contested parts of the city.

The shift of security responsibilities to Iraqis - with U.S. forces pulling back from most of their positions inside the city - was a move toward ending the intense fighting that had evoked strong international criticism and from America's Iraqi allies.
Negotiations also were taking place in the southern city of Najaf, where tribal leaders and police agreed to a three-day truce as part of a plan to resolve a standoff between soldiers and militiamen loyal to radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.

A defiant al-Sadr said: "America is the enemy of Islam."

Elsewhere, Iraqi police Col. Ahmad al-Khazraji was shot to death Thursday night in Baghdad, the U.S. command said. The body of a Baghdad local official also was found hung with a sign on his chest that said "al-Mahdi Army business," a reference to al-Sadr's militia.
[Friends, al-Mahdi is the Muslim messiah!!! ]

Convoys of U.S. troops and equipment could be seen heading out of parts of Fallujah, replaced by red-bereted Iraqi troopers from the new force due to control the city.

Residents said that by Friday evening, U.S. troops had left several neighborhoods that had been the scene of heavy fighting, including Nazzal, Shuhada, Nueimiyah and the industrial area. As U.S. Marines withdrew, Iraqi police and civil defense units moved in.

At the checkpoint at main eastern entrance to the city, the commander of the Iraqi force, Maj. Gen. Jassim Mohammed Saleh, shook hands with Col. John Tullin, commander of the 1st Marine Regiment, as Iraqi forces raised their own flag over the checkpoint.

"You are our dear friends," Saleh told Tullin.
[This is military cooperation, for sure.]

Saleh - a burly ex-member of Saddam's Republican Guard with a Saddam-style mustache - arrived in the city to the cheers of some residents.

"Initially it appears that the transition to the Fallujah Protective Army is working," said Marine. Lt. Col. Brennan Byrne. "It's a delicate situation. The Fallujah Protective Army is the Iraqi solution we've all been looking for in this area."

Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, coalition deputy operations chief, insisted the Marines were not "withdrawing" from Fallujah, one of the most hostile cities in the tense Sunni Triangle, but were simply "repositioning."

Asked if the Marines were leaving, Kimmitt replied: "Nothing could be further from the truth." He said the Marines would maintain a strong presence "in and around Fallujah."

"The coalition objectives remain unchanged - to eliminate armed groups, collect and positively control all heavy weapons, and turn over foreign fighters and disarm anti-Iraqi insurgents in Fallujah," Kimmitt said.

Nevertheless, the move appeared aimed at reducing the American profile at a time of growing opposition among Iraqis to the U.S.-led occupation.

The security plan also marked a shift in U.S. strategy, which had marginalized former members of Saddam's Baath Party and abolished the Iraqi army last year.

The commander of the new Fallujah brigade, Maj. Gen. Jassim Mohammed Saleh, once served in Saddam's Republican Guard. He arrived in the city Friday wearing his old uniform to the cheers of bystanders.

Under the plan, a force of 600 to 1,100 Iraqis, many of them former soldiers from the Fallujah area, would initially man checkpoints. Marines will remain on or near the city's perimeter and at a later stage conduct their own patrols inside the city, a Pentagon official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Gen. John Abizaid, chief of U.S. military operations in the Middle East, said the United States was sticking by most of the objectives it outlined when the Marines stormed Fallujah on April 5 - mainly to seize men who killed and mutilated four American contractors.

However, Abizaid conceded the killers probably had fled the city. And he also seemed to considerably soften previous demands that the guerrillas hand over foreign fighters and heavy weapons to U.S. forces.

"Clearly, we will not tolerate the presence of foreign fighters," Abizaid said. "We will insist on the heavy weapons coming off the streets. We want the Marines to have freedom of maneuver along with the Iraqi security forces."

Foreign fighters, too, may have fled the city, a top U.S. military official in Baghdad said Thursday. Others question whether foreign fighters ever joined the battle in Fallujah, characterizing it instead as a homegrown uprising. And weapons coming "off the streets" appears to be a backing off previous demands to "turn over" arms to the Marines.

Abizaid said he does not need more American troops in Iraq, but
he pointedly urged Muslim nations to send forces . He said about a dozen Iraqi security battalions that failed to perform in central and south-central Iraq are being retrained and thus unavailable for "any major challenges" until at least November. [Dear friend, Revelation 6:2 is definitely a "major challenge."  Interestingly enough, "November" follows immediately after the Fall Feasts of Israel.   See the discussion of the end of the page .]

Saleh, the Iraqi general running the new force, was checked out by the Marines and they had full confidence in his background, Kimmitt said.

A former general in the Iraqi army, Mohammed al-Askari, said Saleh served in the Republican Guards in the 1980s. He later commanded an Iraqi army division and headed the army's infantry forces.

Sheikh Dhafir al-Obeidi, delivering a Friday sermon at Fallujah mosque, didn't directly mention the peace deal, but called on Fallujah residents to "leave behind all differences and join hands."

In an apparent move to speed the Fallujah agreement, U.S. authorities Thursday released the imam of the city's main mosque, Sheik Jamal Shaker Nazzal, an outspoken opponent of the U.S. occupation who was arrested in October.

... [meanwhile, similar developments continue in Najaf.  Could the antichrist and the false prophet arise from these leaders?  It is certainly possible]

In Najaf, negotiations continued to end the standoff with militiamen loyal to al-Sadr.

Ahmed Shaybani, a spokesman for al-Sadr, told The Associated Press that talks were under way between Najaf police and tribal leaders. He said a proposal emerged for al-Sadr followers to hand security to Najaf police and al-Sadr's Mahdi army to leave the city.

Shaybani said the proposal would be accepted if Americans agreed not to enter Najaf and did not act in a hostile way toward its holy sites. Al-Sadr would remain in the city.

Despite U.S. troops on the edge of Najaf with orders to kill or capture him, al-Sadr has gone freely back and forth to nearby Kufa every Friday for the noon prayers for the past three weeks.

Preaching at a mosque in nearby Kufa, al-Sadr did not soften his stance.

"Some people have asked me to tone down my words and to avoid escalation with the Americans," al-Sadr said. "My response is that I reject any appeasement with the occupation and I will not give up defending the rights of the believers. America is the enemy of Islam and Muslims and jihad is the path of my ancestors."

AP correspondents Katarina Kratovac and Jason Keyser in Fallujah, and Denis D. Gray and Scheherazade Faramarzi in Najaf contributed to this report.

If the BOW is being drawn back and it will not be fired until AFTER we leave, how far away can the rapture be?

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus.  (Rev 22:20)

Interestingly enough, a spokesman for the Naval War College, THOMAS P.M. BARNETT , appeared in a Fox News interview today and said (in answer to a question about the size and capacity of the US military), " we can take down two or three Saddam's a year, but, we can not police a country the size of Iraq ."  In connection with this comment, please read this Biblical prophecy .  Mr Barnett has a new book out called The Pentagon's New Map .  His comment confirms the strategy of using Iraqi military/security forces.  His book confirms the necessity of the United States military role in establishing "globalization."  The publisher says- [the book] "outlines the unique role that America can and will play in establishing international stability."

Thousands of Saddam-era officers look to regain their jobs in the new Iraqi army

BAGHDAD (AP) — Thousands of former officers from Saddam Hussein's dissolved army crowded hallways and stood in line for the chance to reenlist Tuesday , hoping that their Baathist pasts will be forgiven and their long stint without jobs will end.
"We were low-level members of the Baath Party. It was required. You couldn't have any posting without it," said Najeh Ismail, who is hoping to regain his job as a lieutenant colonel.

He said he has been out of work since the army was dissolved soon after Saddam's fall a year ago. "They have to understand. We're responsible for families. You have to have a way to take care of your children," he said.

Ismail travelled from his hometown of Muqdadiyah, 120 kilometres to the northeast, to wait with the crowd of men that packed the halls and spilled out into the courtyard of the Salaam Medical Centre, a Baghdad clinic turned into a recruitment station for the next few days.

The top US administrator in Iraq, L. Paul Bremer, announced last month that the military would begin recruiting former Saddam-era officers for the new Iraqi army that the United States is building from scratch .

With some 20,000 soldiers already formed into battalions, and the number planned to rise to 35,000 troops by September, the military needs officers. And the only source of experienced ones is the military Saddam headed.

US administrators say they will vet officers to keep out those who were involved in repression by Saddam's regime.

Starting Tuesday, the call was out for former colonels and lieutenant colonels to apply for posts.

Out of some 3,000 candidates who showed up, "we're looking for about 200 of them for the 27 battalions," said Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Abu Muhammed. " We're looking for the best ones, the most experienced and knowledgeable to form an elite for these first units." At the clinic, Lt. Gen. Daham Assal — the newly appointed deputy chief of staff — sat behind a desk and interviewed each candidate, asking their past units and experience. He then quizzed them to see if they remembered their rote learning from military school.

...

Outside, hundreds of men in an auditorium were waiting for their names to be called for the interview.

"I want to serve my country," said Raad Faris Al Nafie, a former colonel from Balad, about 70 kilometres north of Baghdad, who was in the southern city of Basra when the United States invaded Iraq in March 2003.

But like others, he said the military was his career, and when the army was dissolved he lost his income. Many have criticised the wholesale elimination of the military, saying it fuelled the anti-US insurgency with ranks of disgruntled former soldiers.

Jordan's King Abdullah says he is willing to send troops to Iraq
By Jane Wardell, Associated Press, 7/1/2004 20:31

LONDON (AP) Jordan's King Abdullah II said Thursday his country would be willing to send troops to Iraq, potentially becoming the first Arab state to do so.

The statement marked a major shift in Jordan's policy toward Iraq . Abdullah had initially refused to send troops.

In an interview Thursday with the British Broadcasting Corp. television ''Newsnight'' program, Abdullah said he wanted to support Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi's interim government , which recently assumed control from the U.S.-led coalition.

''I presume that if the Iraqis ask us for help directly, it would be very difficult for us to say no,'' he said during the interview in London. ''Our message to the president or the prime minister is: Tell us what you want. Tell us how we can help, and you have 110 percent support from us.''

There was no immediate reaction to Abdullah's comments, which will likely be welcomed by the U.S. government. It was unclear if the Iraqis would take Abdullah up on his offer.

''If we don't stand with them, if they fail, then we all pay the price,'' Abdullah said.
[The pressure is on the King to take action.  This action may well climax in the " plucking up of Iraq's 3 kingdoms " by the Jordanian King and his army, though not necessarily a military campaign.  This action means to supplant in place of and before rising to power himself .  The Jordanian King's public statement could be the first step in this process to be completed during the tribulation .  The security of Iraq, or lack thereof, may well be the result of a partitioned Iraq into Kurd, Sunni, and Shiite divisions.]

Abdullah said he had not discussed sending troops with the new Iraqi government.

''I would feel that we are not the right people,'' he said. ''But at the end of the day, if there is something we can provide, a service to the future of Iraqis, then we'll definitely study that proposal.''

Abdullah said he was encouraged by improvements in Iraq's
security , but he acknowledged it was still the greatest problem facing the new administration. Jordan is dependent on Iraqi oil. [The security theme is recurrent in the Jordanians' public conversations.  This requires military/police enforcement of the "peace."]

''I feel optimistic we have strong, courageous leaders in Iraq ... but the challenges that face them on security is going to be their major problem, and they are going to need everybody's help,'' he said.

Iraq borders both Jordan, which maintains close relations with the United States, and Syria, which staunchly opposed the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Syrian Information Ministry official Ahmad Haj Ali has said that what the interim Iraqi government should do is strive to get the U.S. troops to leave.

As of the end of April, there were 33 countries in addition to the United States with troops in Iraq, including Britain, Poland, South Korea, Hungary, Italy, Japan and Australia. Britain commands troops in the south east of the country while operations in the central south are headed by the Polish.

Spain pulled its troops out earlier this year and Norway is also removing its small contingent of soldiers.

Despite the promise of assistance, Abdullah said he perceived Iraq as a ''sideshow.''

''The main problem that feeds on all the instabilities that we see in the Middle East is the Israeli-Palestinian problem ,'' he said. ''Until you solve that, then we'll never have the type of
stability that the Middle East hopes for.''  [The "peace" agreement with Israel is paramount in King Abdullah's mind, along with a united Iraq.  In Biblical prophecy the enforcement of a "peace" agreement occurs at the beginning of the tribulation and is a backdrop throughout.  To accomplish this the King may be forced to "unite" Iraq .  The King himself is a military commander .]

Time to play the Iraqi nationalist card – or lose the game

(quoting from the article)
The "war on terrorism ," in neoconservative circles, simply means the subjugation and break-up of the Arab states , from Syria to Saudi Arabia, on to Tehran and beyond.

...

Planned chaos rules Iraq today, and may rule much more of the Middle East tomorrow, if the neocons have their way.

[When you consider the "conquering and to conquer " context of Revelation 6:2 and the " three of the first horns plucked up by the roots"  of Daniel 7:8, this is not as far fetched, as a future possibility, as it sounds when you first read it.  The complete text of Daniel 7:8 says " I considered the horns (10) , and, behold, there came up among them (10) another little horn (antichrist), before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots ."  The clear indication here is that BEFORE the antichrist ascends the three "horns" (kings) must be plucked up.]

The PowerPoint That Rocked the Pentagon
The LaRouchie defector who's advising the defense establishment on Saudi Arabia.
By Jack Shafer
Posted Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at 4:49 PM PT

Diplomatic china rattled in Washington and cracked in Riyadh yesterday when the Washington Post published a story about a briefing given to a Pentagon advisory group last month. The briefing declared Saudi Arabia an enemy of the United States and advocated that the United States invade the country, seize its oil fields, and confiscate its financial assets unless the Saudis stop supporting the anti-Western terror network.

Page 24 of the PowerPoint Presentation is-

Grand strategy for the Middle East

• Iraq is the tactical pivot

• Saudi Arabia the strategic pivot

• Egypt the prize

In a thorough indictment of the Saudi regime of Saudi Arabia, the presentation was quoted to have said (page 17)-

The House of Saud today

Saudi Arabia is central to the self-destruction of the Arab world and the chief vector of the Arab crisis and its outwardly-directed aggression

The Saudis are active at every level of the terror chain, from planners to financiers, from cadre to foot-soldier, from ideologist to cheerleader

Saudi Arabia supports our enemies and attacks our allies

A daily outpouring of virulent hatred against the U.S. from Saudi media, "educational" institutions, clerics, officials -- Saudis tell us one thing in private, do the contrary in reality

This author has no idea of the truth of such allegations; but, interestingly enough, the presentation also says-

It [Saudi Arabia] wrested the Guardianship of the Holy Places -- Mecca and Medina -- from the Hashemite dynasty

and

The Hashemites have greater legitimacy as Guardians of Mecca and Medina

To summarize-
According to the report given the Defense Policy Board, Iraq is a tactical pivot and the Hashemite Kingdom (Jordan) has a greater legitimacy as a guardian of Mecca and Medina. Can we see what is unfolding here?  The policy presented to the Defense Policy Board promotes the Jordanian throne and attacks the Saudis as the Source of Terrorism.  [It was not true that Saddam sponsored the attacks on 9-11 either, but, look what happened to him]. Whether this is true or false (and I have no idea) is beside the point.  The point is - the situation is leading to an Arab-world sponsorship of the "war on terror" and, in so doing, the Arab-world itself will be pressed (deceived by a grand intelligence operation?) into what amounts to internecine war.  In so doing, the Arab world will self destruct (a least that would be the plan of some - God has his own plan and it will be carried out regardless of the plans of men, but, we do know that there shall be " great tribulation" that has never been and never will be like it, Dan 12:1, Mat  24:21.)

So, the King of Jordan is being promoted to the Defense Policy Board.  Saudi Arabia and Egypt are listed as ultimate targets of the "war on terror."

How about the following scenario as a possibility?

Iraq becomes a divided country with 3 "kings" over the Kurds, Sunnis, and the Shiites.  "Foreign" interests continue the insurgency and the crisis worsens.  The Jordanian Army is invited in by at least one of the "kings" (the Kurds?) to prohibit "chaos."  The King of Jordan himself becomes involved and gets labelled a hero for helping to restore order for fellow Arabs.  To insure "unity", "security", and "stability" in Iraq, the Jordanian King fulfills the " plucking up" prophecy by displacing the "3 Kings" and becoming the King over all Iraq (by invitation?) and thus now restores the Hashemite Kingdom and the beast empire of Revelation 13 is the result shortly thereafter.  In this capacity, he conducts the "war on terrorism" in the name of the Arab nations but as a proxy for Western interests presently represented by the neo-cons within the United States policy sphere.  It is clear that the Defense Department does not trust the CIA (or they would not have initiated their own internal intelligence via the new position occupied by Stephen Cambone, March 2003, Under Secretary of Intelligence for the Department of Defense) and due to conflicts, like these, that exist in the intelligence community, no one group will "win". The end result will be a compromise between and among both "friendly" and "enemy" intelligence groups.

[The war on Iraq into which his neoconservative advisers prodded the president seems to have ignited the very "war of civilizations " between Islam and America that the president said he wanted to avoid ...   Of late, the president appears to have begun to understand that our presence is a primary cause of the war of resistance and that, when this phase ends, the real war, the civil war to decide which Iraqis rule in Iraq, begins. -Patrick Buchanan, Three Steps to Sanity , June 30, 2004.]

By the time Arab-lead "war on terrorism" (or military action provoked by intelligence) begins it will have been "proven" that Saudi Arabia has been guilty of sponsoring terrorism within the region.   Of course, the "proof" may well be the same as the "proof" that Saddam had an on-going relationship with Al-Qaeda and therefore he sponsored the 9-11 attacks on the United States.  The Arab "war on terrorism" (lead by the Jordanian King) fulfills Revelation 6:2, " conquering and to conquer ."  Either carrying out the policy recommended to the Defense Policy Board (or responding to an attack from Egypt or both), Egypt will be conquered as well  and will become the "Prize" described on page 24 of the PowerPoint presentation..  In so doing, this will fulfill the prophecy of Daniel 11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the COUNTRIES [there is more than one] and the land of EGYPT shall not escape.  If you read Daniel 11:42 through Daniel 12:1 you find that the taking of Egypt occurs BEFORE the antichrist moves his headquarters to Jerusalem . In addition, you read of the war between Egypt and the antichrist in Daniel 11:40-41

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south [Egypt] push at him [antichrist]: and the king of the north [also the antichrist, the "him" against which the king of the south pushes] shall come against him [Egypt, king of the south] like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he [antichrist] shall  enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.    He [antichrist] shall enter also into the glorious land [Israel], and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon .   -- Daniel 11:40-41
[We have shown that Edom, Moab, and Ammon are the Western Jordanians , also known as the "Palestinians."  Why would the Jordanian King attack his own people?  We know from quotes that the King has an affinity for the Palestinian cause.  Unless the Jordanian King is in an alliance with western nations, he, nor any other mideastern country, could come at the king of Egypt with "many ships".  They do not have a navy of substance.]

["There exists today a hatred of Americans never equaled in the region," Egyptian President Mubarak told Le Monde. "In the beginning, some people thought the Americans were helping them. There was no hatred toward Americans. After what happened in Iraq, there is an unprecedented hatred and the Americans know it."  This longtime friend added, "American and Israeli interests are not safe, not only in our region but in other parts of the world, in Europe, in America, anywhere in the world." -Patrick Buchanan, Three Steps to Sanity , June 30, 2004.]

Is this hatred of the United States going to lead to Egyptian opposition to the proxy goverment in the midst of Arab nations?

The antichrist moves to Jerusalem at the midpoint of the tribulation.  Is there not plenty of time for these events to happen within the next three and one half years?  Given a "yes" answer, how far away can the rapture be?  The rapture is at least three and one half years before the midpoint of the tribulation .

Could the United States Military Become a Major Part of  the Military Might ("a Bow") of the Antichrist?

If so, how could this happen?  We already have a precedent for this eventuality.  The precedent happened this week.  We have said all along that the antichrist would enforce a Peace Treaty between Israel and the Palestinians as a fullfillment of Daniel 9:27.  In so doing, we have said that his principle activity would be "conquering and to conquer " in the "war on terrorism ."  It is said of the "beast" empire in Revelation 13:4  - " who is able to make war with him?"   Such a question is asked to show the military might of the antichrist.  Since we have already shown that the kingdom of the antichrist arises in the Jordan/Iraq geographical area , [see also this ], then, this begs the question, how powerful is the Jordan and Iraq armies?  The answer is - not very powerful.  A relatively weak Iraqi and Jordanian military means that military might must be added to them to create the Rev 13:4 situation.  The article below gives us the description of such a military force - multinational forces-Iraq.

From the following website-

Iraqi PM backs strike on Falluja

Iraq's new prime minister says his government co-operated in a US air strike on the volatile city of Falluja, which killed at least 10 people.  In an unprecedented statement, Iyad Allawi said his interim government had provided intelligence for the attack.
[Friends, the leading Arab nation has begun the "war on terror" on its own inhabitants and it is using the United States military to accomplish its task.  This is just the beginning.  Eventually, the Arab nations will be in a confederacy which collectively will conduct a joint "war on terror."  Arab against Arab - how else could "every man's sword shall be against his brother" in Ezekiel 38:21 and " they should kill one another" in Rev 6:4?]

Continuing with the article...

A US military spokesman said the target was a house suspected of being used by supporters of an al-Qaeda leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

It was the latest in a spate of US air strikes on Falluja.

...
Mr Allawi's statement demonstrates that he is keen [read anxious] to associate his administration publicly with attacks by American forces on foreign militants [terrorists], correspondents say.   [Before we get too comfortable, just remember, this same "war on terrorists" is going to be in the United States eventually, during the tribulation, as well.   The "terrorists" are going to be the tribulation saints .]

" The sovereign Iraqi people and our international partners are adamant that we will put an end to terrorism and chase those corrupt terrorists and will uproot them one by one ," he said in the statement.

...
"After consultations between Iraqi government officials and
multinational forces-Iraq , Iraqi security forces provided clear and compelling intelligence to conduct a precision strike this evening on a known Zarqawi safe house in south-eastern Falluja," Mr Allawi said in his statement.

Meanwhile what does the King of Jordan have to say about this?  What is he emphasizing?

from an interview
His Majesty King Abdullah speaks to BBC Newsnight's Gavin Esler on Thursday

King Abdullah: Maybe the lack of international understanding is that the core root of all problems in the Middle East is the Israeli-Palestinian one. I see Iraq, although it's difficult for maybe people in Britain or the United States to see it this way, as a sideshow. The main problem that feeds on all the instabilities that we see in the Middle East is the Israeli-Palestinian problem. Until you solve that, then we will never have the type of stability that the Middle East hopes for.  [Friends, the enforcement of the Roadmap and a Palestinian state are the essence of the "covenant" which the antichrist will "confirm with many ".  The antichrist will confirm it for the ENTIRE DURATION of the TRIBULATION , thus, making the covenant the OVERRIDING CONSIDERATION of the antichrist, Daniel 9:27, "one week". ]

King Abdullah: I think everybody knows what needs to be done. We have an American president, a first American president, to articulate a viable independent Palestinian state . He gave a time line of 2005, maybe not realistic but at least to keep people focused, and a mechanism of how to get there, which is the roadmap . So there's no rocket science in this issue, we all know what needs to be done. What we need to be able to do is make sure there's pressure put on the Israelis and the Palestinians, and Arabs also [this is really "confirming the covenant "], to move the process forward through the vehicle, which is the roadmap , to get to a two-state solution. So if you ask what can the Americans do or what can all of us do — move the process along, and all of us know to minute detail what it is, the roadmap.

The Bible teaches us that the antichrist has a bow , a military  force at his disposal, when he goes forth conquering and to conquer .  Where will he get this bow?  The answer is becoming clearer by the day- the United States Military will be a major part of the bow of antichrist.  Given the recent revelations of Seymour Hersh  in the New Yorker that the United States intelligence community will coopt even the "bad guys" for military and terrorist operations , it is becoming clearer that the situation will escalate into more war.  This can only mean one thing- the United States military will remain in the MidEast until the second coming of Jesus Christ.  The net result of "more war" will be known as the campaign of Armageddon. The United States military is the only one in the area who can provide the following military capability-

...and the king of the north [antichrist] shall come against him [Egypt] like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with MANY SHIPS... - Dan 11:40  Who else has a Navy that will be working WITH the antichrist to enforce "democracy" in the MidEast?

Think this is far-fetched?  Remember that Egypt is the King of the South and that page 24 of the PowerPoint presentation says
• Egypt the prize

There are now more reasons than ever for the United States to start riding with the very people with whom they have been at war - the Sunnis.  The reason?  Iran's activities inside Iraq to undermine the country of Iraq and to defeat both the Sunnis and the United States. Will the objective of defeating the Shia nation (and uncooperative Sunnis) become the motivating force which builds the army (the bow) of the antichrist with which he goes forth conquering and to conquer?

This appears to be a distinct possibility.  Would it not make perfect sense that an "Assyrian" antichrist (allied with the United States) confirms (enforces) the covenant against those who would oppose the covenant  with Israel?   This scenario could develop against Iran even if the actual Iranian threat was far less than what is reported.  There is no question that the US is already engaged in anti-Iranian activity.  There is also no question that the United States' chief Arabic ally, the Sunni King of Jordan, has a great fear of the Shiite Crescent and that he is feeling the pressure of this threat (and he has said so) to his priority of solving the Israeli-Palestinian crisis.

from the website-
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1093747,00.html
we read-
The U.S. Military's new nemesis in Iraq is named Abu Mustafa al-Sheibani, and he is not a Baathist or a member of al-Qaeda. He is working for Iran. According to a U.S. military-intelligence document obtained by TIME, al-Sheibani heads a network of insurgents created by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps with the express purpose of committing violence against U.S. and coalition forces in Iraq. Over the past eight months, his group has introduced a new breed of roadside bomb more lethal than any seen before; based on a design from the Iranian-backed Lebanese militia Hizballah, the weapon employs "shaped" explosive charges that can punch through a battle tank's armor like a fist through the wall.

According to the document, the U.S. believes al-Sheibani's team consists of 280 members, divided into 17 bombmaking teams and death squads. The U.S. believes they train in Lebanon, in Baghdad's predominantly Shi'ite Sadr City district and "in another country" and have detonated at least 37 bombs against U.S. forces this year in Baghdad alone.

Since the start of the insurgency in Iraq, the most persistent danger to U.S. troops has come from the Sunni Arab insurgents and terrorists who roam the center and west of the country. But some U.S. officials are worried about a potentially greater challenge to order in Iraq and U.S. interests there: the growing influence of Iran. With an elected Shi'ite-dominated government in place in Baghdad and the U.S. preoccupied with quelling the Sunni-led insurgency, the Iranian regime has deepened its imprint on the political and social fabric of Iraq, buying influence in the new Iraqi government, running intelligence-gathering networks and funneling money and guns to Shi'ite militant groups--all with the aim of fostering a Shi'ite-run state friendly to Iran. In parts of southern Iraq, fundamentalist Shi'ite militias--some of them funded and armed by Iran--have imposed restrictions on the daily lives of Iraqis, banning alcohol and curbing the rights of women. Iraq's Shi'ite leaders, including Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, have tried to forge a strategic alliance with Tehran, even seeking to have Iranians recognized as a minority group under Iraq's proposed constitution. "We have to think anything we tell or share with the Iraqi government ends up in Tehran," says a Western diplomat.

Perhaps most troubling are signs that the rising influence of Iran--a country with which Iraq waged an eight-year war and whose brand of theocracy most Iraqis reject--is exacerbating sectarian tensions between Sunnis and Shi'ites, pulling Iraq closer to all-out civil war. And while top intelligence officials have sought to play down any state-sponsored role by Tehran's regime in directing violence against the coalition, the emergence of al-Sheibani has cast greater suspicion on Iran. Coalition sources told TIME that it was one of al-Sheibani's devices that killed three British soldiers in Amarah last month. "One suspects this would have to have a higher degree of approval [in Tehran]," says a senior U.S. military official in Baghdad. The official says the U.S. believes that Iran has brokered a partnership between Iraqi Shi'ite militants and Hizballah and facilitated the import of sophisticated weapons that are killing and wounding U.S. and British troops. "It is true that weapons clearly, unambiguously, from Iran have been found in Iraq," Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said last week.

A TIME investigation, based on documents smuggled out of Iran and dozens of interviews with U.S., British and Iraqi intelligence officials, as well as an Iranian agent, armed dissidents and Iraqi militia and political allies, reveals an Iranian plan for gaining influence in Iraq that began before the U.S. invaded. In their scope and ambition, Iran's activities rival those of the U.S. and its allies, especially in the south. There is a gnawing worry within some intelligence circles that the failure to counter Iranian influence may come back to haunt the U.S. and its allies, if Shi'ite factions with heavy Iranian backing eventually come to power and provoke the Sunnis to revolt. Says a British military intelligence officer, about the relative inattention paid to Iranian meddling: "It's as though we are sleepwalking."

Before the March 2003 invasion, military sources say, elements of up to 46 Iranian infantry and missile brigades moved to buttress the border. Positioned among them were units of the Badr Corps, formed in the 1980s as the armed wing of the Iraqi Shi'ite group known by its acronym SCIRI, now the most powerful party in Iraq. Divided into northern, central and southern axes, Badr's mission was to pour into Iraq in the chaos of the invasion to seize towns and government offices, filling the vacuum left by the collapse of Saddam's regime. As many as 12,000 armed men, along with Iranian intelligence officers, swarmed into Iraq. TIME has obtained copies of what U.S. and British military intelligence say appears to be Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence reports sent in April 2003. One, dated April 10 and marked CONFIDENTIAL, logs U.S. troops backed by armor moving through the city of Kut. But, it asserts, "we are in control of the city." Another, with the same date, from a unit code-named 1546, claims "forces attached to us" had control of the city of Amarah and had occupied Baath Party properties. A 2004 British army inquiry noted that the Badr organization and another militia were so powerful in Amarah, "it quickly became clear that the coalition needed to work with them to ensure a secure environment in the province."

More sinister are signs of death squads charged with eliminating potential opponents and former Baathists. U.S. intelligence sources confirm that early targets included former members of the Iran section of Saddam's intelligence services. In southern cities, Thar-Allah (Vengeance of God) is one of a number of militant groups suspected of assassinations. U.S. commanders in Baghdad and in eastern provinces say similar cells operate in their sectors. The chief of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, General Mohammed Abdullah al-Shahwani, has publicly accused Iranian-backed cells of hunting down and killing his officers. In October he blamed agents in Iran's Baghdad embassy of coordinating assassinations of up to 18 of his people, claiming that raids on three safe houses uncovered a trove of documents linking the agents to funds funneled to the Badr Corps for the purposes of "physical liquidation."

What remains murky is the extent to which Iran is encouraging its proxies to stage attacks against the U.S.-led coalition. Military intelligence officers describe their Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps counterparts' strategy as one of using "nonattributable attacks" by proxy forces to maximize deniability. What's uncertain, says a senior U.S. officer, is what factions within Tehran's splintered security apparatus are behind the strategy and how much the top leaders have endorsed it. Intelligence sources claim that Brigadier General Sullaimani ordained in a meeting of his militia proxies in the spring of last year that "any move that would wear out the U.S. forces in Iraq should be done. Every possible means should be used to keep the U.S. forces engaged in Iraq." Secret British military-intelligence documents show that British forces are tracking several paramilitary outfits in Southern Iraq that are backed by the Revolutionary Guard. Coalition and Iraqi intelligence agencies track Iranian officers' visits to Iraq on inspection tours akin to those of their American counterparts. "We know they come, but often not until after they've left," says a British intelligence officer.

...Iran shows every sign of upping the ante in Iraq, which may ultimately force the U.S. to search out new allies in Iraq--including some of the same elements it has been trying to subdue for almost 2½ years--who can counter the mullahs' encroachment. The Western diplomat acknowledges that Iran's seemingly manageable activities could still escalate into a bigger crisis. "We've dealt with governments allied to our enemies many times in the past," he says. "The rub, however, is, Could it affect [counterinsurgency efforts]? To that I say, 'It hasn't happened yet, but it could.'" The war in Iraq could get a whole lot messier if it does.

These "new allies in Iraq" have already been suggested by Seymour Hersh of the NewYorker.  Seymour called it "riding with the bad boys."  The hoofbeats of the four horses of the Apocalypse draw closer.

Jordan names anti-terror general, cabinet
Tuesday, December 20, 2005 05:30:23 PM
Jordan named a tough anti-terrorism general to replace the country's top intelligence operative and approved a new Cabinet on Tuesday, part of a political and security overhaul since last month's deadly hotel bombings.

The new Cabinet, called for by King Abdullah II following the Nov. 9 attacks that killed 60 people in Amman, won a landslide parliamentary vote of confidence.

The vote was necessary to install the Cabinet appointed by Abdullah, who wields absolute power under the constitution, including appointing prime ministers, dissolving parliament and ruling by decree. ...
New Prime Minister Marouf al-Bakhit and his 23 ministers received 86 votes of support from the 110-member parliament. Twenty voted against it, one lawmaker abstained and three were absent.
Last month's coordinated, triple suicide bombings, claimed by the al-Qaida in Iraq group of Jordanian-born militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, triggered a major shake-up of political and security posts in this moderate, U.S.-allied Arab kingdom.

"Security ensures the citizens' main needs and guarantees freedom of expression, work and education within the framework of the law," al-Bakhit told lawmakers, who debated his government's policies during the past three days.

Al-Bakhit confirmed that his government will launch a national strategy to provide security without curtailing freedoms.  [sound familiar?]

Jordan premier vows 'pre-emptive' war against Islamic extremism

AMMAN, Jordan -- Jordan's new prime minister vowed Wednesday to wage a "pre-emptive" war against Islamic extremists, saying his government planned to fight terrorism by reforming religious teaching and granting greater freedom.

Speaking to parliament, Marouf al-Bakhit said the suicide bombers who killed 60 people in three hotels on Nov. 9 "only made us more determined to move forward in our pre-emptive war against terrorism and the 'takfiri' culture."

'Takfiri' is the ideology of militants who regard their Muslim opponents as infidels.

In this situation we see how the war extends to Islam-on-Islam conflicts, internecine warfare.

This extended war scenario is being widely discussed and will act as the backdrop to justify what soon unfolds.

King Abdullah II: "No country is immune to terrorism"

President Traian Basescu is currently paying a two-day official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a Middle Eastern country which is considered to be of great strategic importance for the U.S.
Two months ago, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu also paid a short visit to Jordan. After he returned, Ungureanu said Romania wants to be "an honest broker" in the Middle East. It was clear that Romania was displaying its willingness to resume collaboration with the Middle East and Jordan, one of the U.S.'s allies in the region, which could not have been left aside. Especially after the kidnapping of the Romanian journalists in Iraq, an episode which has somehow reactivated the traditional relations between Romania and the Arab countries and the special cooperation between the intelligence services.  Bucharest is aiming to gain a certain political advantage in front of the EU member states, as Romania is well seen by the Arab states and due to its experience in such matters can advise these countries better than other EU members, Ungureanu pointed out. Basescu now has the chance to share opinions with the leaders of a country that supports peace in the Middle East, that was wise enough to sign a peace treaty with Israel and which helps the international coalition in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Like Romania, Jordan has been accused of having hosted the alleged CIA secret terror prisons. In addition, rumors say that the Jordanian intelligence services have a strong relationship with the CIA, even stronger than the relationship between the Israeli secret service Mossad and the CIA. Most likely, Basescu and the Jordanian leaders will discuss these issues as well, given the recent visit to Romania by U.S. State Secretary Condoleezza Rice.  We have asked his Majesty King Abdullah II to talk to us about the president's visit to Jordan, but also about the thorny issue of terrorism.

President Traian Basescu is paying his first official visit to your country. Two months ago, the head of Romanian diplomacy also paid a visit to Jordan. It is quite a pleasant surprise to see that bilateral relations are on the right track once again. What exactly do you expect from the meeting you will have with Basescu?
This visit coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Jordan. We have always been proud of the strong relations between our two countries and I hope President Basescu and I will also take into discussion the solutions for improving political, economic, and social bilateral cooperation. I have also met Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu and we have discussed the means to develop bilateral relations, but also about the situation in the Middle East. We have already signed several bilateral agreements related to commercial, economic, cultural, and scientific cooperation, transportation, and investments. We also hope to develop the collaboration with Romania more and more.  Romania has always supported our efforts to assure a peaceful climate in the region and I will also talk with President Traian Basescu about the current relations between Israel and the Palestinian authority. We will also try to find solutions for reducing the tensions in Iraq.

Both Romania and Jordan are involved in the global war against terrorism. Recently, Jordan has paid a painful price for its involvement in this war (the terrorist bomb attacks that killed over 50 persons in Jordan's capital Amman, on November 9). Should Romania also fear such reprisals? What would you advise Romania, given your experience in the fight against terrorism?
No country is immune to terrorism, as terrorists make no discrimination when it comes to attacks. In fact, this is why Jordan has always supported international cooperation in the fight against terrorism. These extremists are what we call "takfiri" (people with no religion). They think they are entitled to kill everyone who thinks differently from them. In fact, their war is against traditional Islam, which they want to exterminate. Initially, their goal was to create a conflict between East and the West, a so called "collision between civilizations". This is why they first targeted Western countries.
Their objectives are obvious for most Muslims and this is why we must draw a line. They did not attack only those who are not Muslims. They have also killed many Muslims in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Indonesia, and many other countries.
Persons with different religious beliefs became their victims. Each of us, no matter what our religion is, must pay the price for not sharing their values.
For this reason, we have launched a campaign called "Amman's Message", which explains the real values and principles of Islam and rejects violence, allowing no discrimination. At the beginning of the year we also hosted the International Islamic Conference in Amman, which over 180 Muslim elders attended. The main purpose of the conference was to discuss ways to stop abuses against Islamic values.  This is our local strategy in the fight against terrorism.

What do you think should be the global strategy?
At a global level, we are working together with our allies to fight terrorism in the most efficient way. Romania is also one of our allies and it is member of various conventions aiming to stop terrorism. Romania has been and is an active member as it took part at the 1540 UN Committee aiming to prevent a catastrophic scenario that might happen if weapons of mass destruction were to end up in the hands of terrorists, and the 1267 Committee, on measures to combat the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
Terrorism affects all of us and we must be united, no matter if we are Muslims or Christians. We must not allow a minority, which only wants to undermine the majority, to intimidate us. Courage and unity are our most powerful weapons in the fight against terrorism.

The Lay of the Land (so to speak)
If you read the powerpoint presentation given to the Defense Policy Board (above), the following quotes will make sense.
Recalling the presentation and its recommendations to the Defense Policy Board, the targets of US policy in the MidEast ought to be:
Iraq
Saudi Arabia
Egypt

Of course, Iraq we know about.  How about Saudi Arabia and Egypt?  How do these fit into the big picture?  It made no sense to me.
On page 247 of Dollars for Terror by Labeviere we read-

The second angle [of Saud policy] delineates the "Near Middle East."  Here too, "Arab diplomacy" can be summarized as "buying and dividing to rule."  Pan-Arabism was never very much favored in Riyadh, which remains indifferent if not frankly hostile to the Arab League which it suspects of latent laicism.  The Nasser version of Arab nationalism is seen as the devil incarnate by the Kingdom ... Today, the Sauds entertain good relations with Syria, which preserves a traditional reverse alliance against Israel, and against Iraq since 1990.  If necessary, this could prove useful against the Hashemites of Jordan, historical enemies whom the Sauds dispossessed of Hedjaz and the holy places at the beginning of the century...  Relations with Egypt are currently characterized by non-aggression and by economic cooperation; more than a million Egyptian nationals work in the kingdom...

So, we see here how the US alliance with Jordan is a problem for the Sauds. The Sauds and Egypt are working together.  Do we see how a unified Iraq (under the Hashemites) is a threat to the Sauds and Egypt?   The US is effectively setting up a conflict with both countries (if the US joins Iraq and Jordan, as many recommend).  "Conflict" is the operative word in the last book of the Bible. As the Hashemite role increases as the spokes model for Islam, the Saud role is threatened.

Is the US seeking other allies in the region to offset the power of the Sauds?  According to Labeviere (page 246), the Sauds

use "satellization" of the smallest neighbors [on the Saudi peninsula], in particular Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait, [which satellization] has not encountered any major difficulty up until now; but the same can not be said for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman which have the means to assert an economic and political autonomy.

Now, can you see why we have a cozy-up-to-the-UAE strategy?  You can see what is happening.  In 1932 (I believe that is the right year) the US guaranteed the Saudis security in exchange for oil concessions, but now it appears the US has a different plan.  An element of the US powers-that-be have to create an oil alternative to the Sauds to make this happen (or they have to take over Saudia Arabia).  The Sauds, on the other hand, are sponsoring Islamist activities (from such a distance that they do not know what is happening operationally) to promote "Arab Diplomacy", aka Saudi hegemony and survival [Saudi money was used to fight the Soviets in Aghanistan, for example, in tandem with the US].  The Sauds despise the Iranians and the Wahabbi Sauds believe the Iranian Shia are infidels and vice versa.  So, the US is using the Sauds to help continue stirring the pot against  Iran, the Great Satan's Alibi (a title of an Chapter in Labeviere's book) until such time as the US can "safely" replace its ally [if they are truly following the guidelines proposed in the presentation to the Defense Policy Board].  This progression is what the events of the Book of Revelation is largely describing (in the political and economic sense).  You can see that easily such a progression can get out of hand and escalate beyond anyone's control.  Since the White House is in a war with the CIA and since the CIA has used many Islamist movements, including Hamas and Saudi "Arab Diplomacy", this remains a dynamic situation.  It will be over before anyone understands it entirely.

From page 217 of Dollars for Terror, The Iranian bogeyman, the best excuse available to the "Great Satan," is only a lure that noisily diverts attention from the true perpetrators, underwriters and backers of the "new Islamist terrorism" since the end of the war in Lebanon.  They are the oil monarchies and Pakistan combined with the "Great Satan" itself.

The American government does not much appreciate being reminded that the cadres of the "new terrorism" have, for the most part, been trained through his kind offices.  The Iranian bogeyman ... amplifies the apparent Iranian threat so that it can be used to justify military interventions similar to that involved in Iraq... [page 217]

Remember, this book was written in 1999.  The US powers-that-be [corporations and those politicians that work for them] have apparently sold their souls for manna.  However well intentioned many individuals in government are, they have become unwittingly a part of this eventually Biblical scenario.   They can not turn back because the oil security of the US is stake.  You can see how many patriotic and good Americans are convinced of the rightness of their cause.  They are compelled by the situation to continue forward.  The momentum is such that the conflict is inevitable.  Hopefully, some will turn to the Lord.  Please pray for all our leaders and soldiers and the people of this nation.  These prayers are all I ask you to do.  Anything else will only make matters worse.  I feel for the world, their only hope is Jesus Christ.  On a personal level if we seek self preservation/promotion, we lose.  All parties doing this are doing so using perfect logic from a human standpoint.  Those websites screaming conspiracy are part of the problem (aiding the development of that against which they protest).  Much of this is historical momentum/necessity and historical "accidents."  Do not blame anyone.  Pray.

If the "BOW" ain't in Iraq, where is it?

While the US is seeking new allies in the Middle East, China is now aligning itself with the historical partner of the US, Saudi Arabia.
The Kings of the East (Rev 16:12) now have an interest in any perceived US Middle Eastern hegemony vis-a-vis the Hashemites.
Since the Saudis view themselves as the arbiters of Sunni Islam, if the Hashemite Kingdom is given access to the "Bow" as a perceived instrument of US foreign policy, then, the Saudis are threatened and the Saudis' new partner, the Kings of the East.  Once the US ally goes forth conquering and to conquer (Rev 6:2), the campaign of Armageddon will have begun.

RIYADH: Chinese President Hu Jintao told Saudi Arabia on Sunday that the world’s most populous country was ready to help bring stability to the Middle East.

“The Middle East is a vital region in the world and there will be no achievements and development in the world without a stable Middle East,” Hu said in the translated comments.

China is ready to work with Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries to strengthen peace and development in the Middle East and to build a world of peace, stability and prosperity,” he told Saudi Arabia’s Shura council, an unelected legislature.

Hu is on a three-day visit to cement growing political and economic ties with Saudi Arabia, which was China’s top oil supplier in 2005, providing 17.5 percent of its imports with 443,600 barrels per day (bpd). After joining the World Trade Organisation in December, Saudi Arabia’s protected but growing economy is also opening to the outside world and the kingdom is eyeing new export opportunities in Asia. It would appear that competition between Saudia Arabia and Jordan could accelerate the process.

More information on the anticipated Saudi reaction to US plans in the Middle East:
http://www.meforum.org/article/930

MEQ: What does this mean about the issues and concerns to the United States in regional politics?

Hamzawy: Just as Tom Lippman said, I see pragmatism as key; preserving Saudi royal family power leads to convergence on regional issues. But I disagree with Simon Henderson concerning Iraq: the Saudi royal family has an interest in a stable Iraq but not necessarily a democratic Iraq. It is not against Iraqi democracy, but it will not invest much to help that flourish. It has a prescription to stabilize Iraq, which is to integrate, not exclude the Sunni Arabs. Do not divide the country. That is pragmatism. The Saudi royal family agrees with Cairo, with Damascus, more or less, and also somewhat with Washington.

MEQ: And the Arab-Israeli conflict?

Hamzawy: The Abdullah plan was a pragmatic effort to gain momentum and establish Saudi Arabia at the forefront of regional leaders. Abdullah intended to push Egypt and Jordan back a little and portray Saudi Arabia as an influential regional power. The Saudis would love to see the Palestinian issue solved because it is exploited by radicals and militants. A solution to it rids the Saudis, in terms of ideology and discourse, of a central factor to bin Ladenism. Saudi foreign policy is designed to preserve power and minimize threats. It has very little to do with religion and hardly anything to do with exporting Wahhabism.

Alyami: The House of Saud's only agenda is to stay in power. It will do whatever it takes: kill, murder, incarcerate, destroy. The Saudis have no interest in stabilizing Iraq. I disagree with the idea that it is indifferent to a democratic Iraq. The Saudis hate two things: Shi‘ite empowerment and a democracy on their border. They will do whatever it takes to ensure neither happens.

The Saudi government would like to see the United States stay in Iraq for sixty years. In part, it does not want Washington even to consider invading another Arab country, so getting the U.S. nose rubbed in the mud suits its purposes. Also, a U.S. occupation in Iraq can be just as useful a symbol if the U.S. military gets bogged down in the country...

Abdullah's Arab-Israeli peace plan was tactically wise. He knew that the Israelis could not accept it because it called for Israel to return all land occupied in 1967, including East Jerusalem. The Saudi royal family wants sway over East Jerusalem to add to [their patronage of] Mecca and Medina. Then they will be custodian of three holy places instead of two and will increase their stature accordingly. The Saudi government has no interest in seeing Palestinian-Israeli peace, especially if that results in a democratic Palestine. The Saudis are the greatest financial patrons of Hamas and of Al-Aqsa Brigades and other groups. If Israel and the Arabs make peace and democratization proceeds, the Saudi royal family will lose its power.

It is relatively easy to see that a new powerful "democratic" empire in Iraq-Jordan (especially if it includes religious power) will not be popular in Saudi Arabia.  Consequently, conflict will become inevitable.

The antichrist is referred to in Daniel 11:40 as the King of the North.  Of course, the theme of this page is that the military forces (the Bow) of the antichrist will be essentially the US military.  Look at the situation in Iraq and environs as a Sunni versus Shia conflict.  Whether or not any of the conflict in Iraq is sponsored by the intelligence community is anybody's guess.  No one can deny that the intelligence community has been sponsoring the overall historical conflict.  So, why not in Iraq as well?

It is crystal clear that the Sunnis are and have been allied with the United States, especially the nation of Jordan, and even Saddam Hussein was a US sponsored regional ally.  Most Sunni sponsors of recent terrorism have been or are US allies.  One example is the Wahhabism of Saudi Arabia, a longtime US ally.  It has been widely argued that if we are going to fight Sunni extremism, since the Saudis have indirectly sponsored Islamic extremism, why don't we go after them.  The answer should be obvious - they are our ally.

There is a great deal of pressure mounting for (a) a Mideast peace deal involving Israel and the Palestinians (b) a change of course in Iraq c) even a "withdrawal" from Iraq, of debatable varieties.  (d) There is also the fear that Iraq will end in a humanitarian catastrophe and the pressure mounts to expedite the training of Iraqi security .

President Bush is accepting "part" of the principles of the ISG, Iraq Study Group. One of the principles he is not buying is "withdrawal" without a victory.   The question - how do you comply with the ISG, which, calls for a reduction of US forces in Iraq, and maintain a strong military presence in the region?  Answer - withdraw to Kurdistan.  This will truly place the forces of the US military in THE NORTH.  There they can await their eventual commander, who will lead the fight in the on-going Sunni-Shiite war.

Do a Google search for "withdraw to Kurdistan" and see what you find.    One example you may find-
http://www.snappingturtle.net/flit/archives/2006_12_04.html#23006015

Withdraw to Kurdistan: what does it mean?

This space has long been an advocate for improving the lot of Iraq's Kurds. However, the recent Chas. Krauthammer column* advocating a withdrawal of the American presence in Iraq to "Kurdistan" in the next couple months prompts a necessary look at what that really would mean on the ground.

see* http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NjQxNTllNTYxYTUwNDUyYWQxYWE3MDczNzU5OWFhMTc=

The U.S. should be giving Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki a clear ultimatum: If he does not come up with a political solution in two months or cede power to a new coalition that will, the U.S. will abandon the Green Zone, retire to its bases, move much of its personnel to Kurdistan where we are welcome and safe, and let the civil war take its course.

Meanwhile, peace is being promoted-  The Pope is visiting Turkey to be a mediator between Islam and "Christianity."

I, for one, do not believe that EVERY geo-political policy wonk on the planet failed to see what was going to happen in Iraq.  Furthermore, I can not help but think that the strategy, as implemented, (under pressure from whomever) was anything other than a  designed strategy to bring about the necessity of a central "moderate" (read US ally) Islamic state (which accounts for the "failure to plan for sectarian violence.")  What looks like a failure is, in my estimation, a policy.  Perhaps, not by Bush, but by his handlers; his puppeteers, if you choose.  Perhaps this explains why Bush is now left out to dry in a radical reversal of the public policy debate.

This central "moderate" Islamic state (a complete accident?) will be the Beast Empire of Biblical prophecy and men brought this about without having a clue concerning Bible prophecy.

Friends, the Lord Jesus Christ is coming just as He promised.  Be ready, for in an hour ye think not, the Son of Man cometh.

Is the Bow being brought to pass?

Abdullah to 'educate' US on Arab peace offer

Jordan's King Abdullah II arrived in Washington on Monday on a quest to educate the US administration on the importance of strong-arming Israel into accepting a pan-Arab "peace" offer

Following his arrival, Abdullah met with Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. On Tuesday he was scheduled to dine with President Bush, and on Wednesday address a joint session of Congress.

A Washington-based Jordanian diplomat told The Jerusalem Post that Abdullah wants to "better explain" the Saudi-authored Arab League-backed regional peace initiative in order to elicit greater US participation in the peace process.

That plan, which will be the focus of an Arab League summit in Riyadh later this month, calls for Israel to fully surrender the Golan Heights, Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem, and open its borders to millions of so-called "Palestinian refugees."

In exchange for taking those suicidal steps, Israel's neighbors say they will sign peace agreements and normalize relations with what would no longer be the Jewish state.  (can you say covenant with hell?)

For the past several weeks, Abdullah has been strongly urging Washington to get more involved in solving the Israeli-Arab conflict along the lines of the Saudi proposal.

Until it does so, Abdullah suggested that he and other Arab allies will view America as biased in Israel's favor.

"It is our duty to push [the US]...to take balanced positions and support the peace process," the king said in an interview with Jordanian television.

Abdullah maintains that until Israel is made to accept Arab terms for "peace," there can be no stability in Iraq.

Many in Israel fear that Washington's desire to make progress in Iraq and turn Abdullah into an ally against Iran may cause the Bush administration to more fully adopt the Arab position.

[there's a bow for ya (a Sunni bow), and a covenant.  Wanna guess if this was planned this way all along?]

The Sunni Bow in Iraq is growing.  Read the various excerpts below.

U.S. unit enters an alliance of last resort

The insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq had unleashed bombings that killed 14 of his soldiers in May...

The American soldiers in Amiriyah have allied themselves with dozens of Sunni militiamen who call themselves the Baghdad Patriots -- a group that American soldiers believe includes insurgents who have attacked them in the past -- in an attempt to drive out al-Qaeda in Iraq...

In their first week of collaboration, the Baghdad Patriots and the Americans killed roughly 10 suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq members and captured 15, according to Kuehl, who said those numbers rivaled totals for the previous six months combined. He is now working to fashion the group into the beginnings of an Amiriyah police force, since the mainly Shiite police force refuses to work in the area...

"We have made a deal with the devil," said an intelligence officer in the battalion...

The U.S. effort to recruit indigenous forces to defend local communities has been taken furthest in Anbar province, where tribal leaders have encouraged thousands of their kinsmen to join the police. In the Abu Ghraib area, west of Baghdad, about 2,000 people unaffiliated with security forces are now working with Americans at village checkpoints and gun positions.

Kuehl said he recognizes the risks in dealing with an unofficial force but decided the intelligence that the gunmen provided on al-Qaeda in Iraq was too valuable to pass up.

..it was about 2 a.m. on May 30 when Capt. Andy Wilbraham, a 33-year-old company commander, first heard military chatter on his tank radio about rumors that local gunmen would take on al-Qaeda. Later that morning, a noncommissioned officer turned to him with the news: "They're uprising."

"It was just a shock it happened so fast," Wilbraham said.

After the Gulf  War of 1990 who would have thought that we would be doing what we are doing today?  I certainly would not have.

In a syndicated editorial, G.A. Geyer has written a piece entitled -
http://www.uexpress.com/georgieannegeyer/

U.S. PROMOTES DANGEROUS DIVISIONS ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST

After discussing the 1990 Iraq war she says-
But what I remember in addition to the obvious horrors at the time was that every single person I talked to -- including American generals, the Saudi chief of staff, American Ambassador Charles Freeman and many others -- agreed on one thing: When this war was over, no matter what, Iraq must not be broken up . That would allow Iran (Persia) to take the southern Shia part; the Kurds, the north; and the Sunnis, the center. The entire Middle East would be in chaos.

Then she says-

Now we are in another era and an infinitely worse situation.

We went into Iraq, say the White House and the Pentagon and their imperially-minded cohorts who dominated the original thinking on the war, to establish a workable democracy within that strange country, strangled as it was by the history of the great cultures destroyed there. Instead, not only has the country effectively splintered, as my 1990 colleagues feared, there has appeared an entirely new confrontation, a fatal division of the Middle East into Sunni vs. Shiite and Arab vs. Persian.

If there is anything one could have dreamed of that would be worst than this, it is hard to imagine. The Middle East may have been a mess before, but power was too dispersed to present the danger of major confrontations. Here is what now is coming out of the unbelievable chaos. Because we fear the approximately 60 percent of Iraqi Shiites who sympathize with their brothers, sisters and cousins in Iran (and why would they not, after years of being persecuted by Sunnis?), the United States has fallen back on the Sunni tribesmen, as in Anbar province, who are being funded by the U.S. and probably by the Saudis and the Jordanians as well. The fact that these were Saddam's men, whom we fought the war against, is now conveniently forgotten.

Having fallen back on the Sunnis, the United States is already quickly moving to establish a major Arab-Persian confrontation across the region -- from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, with their large underprivileged Shiite populations, to Sunni Egypt, Jordan and Kuwait, and against Iran itself and its "landsmen" in Lebanon's Hezbollah as well as other Shiite minorities.

The administration's latest idea -- to give a $30 billion new arms deal to the Saudis and other Gulf leaders, and more billions to Israel -- is the down payment on the "new configuration" of the Middle East.

Who would have guessed when I first wrote this page in July 2002 that the Bow would develop in this manner?
Interestingly enough, she cites former National Security Counsel Gary Sick -

Gary G. Sick, National Security Council adviser on Iran during the Ford, Carter and Reagan administrations and now at Columbia University, also sees the U.S. attempting "to use the threat of Iran and a Shia political emergence to mobilize Arab support and perhaps even a degree of tacit Arab-Israeli cooperation. The strategy would also intend to shift attention away from the U.S. catastrophe in Iraq."

The interesting part about this quote is that it allows for the tacit Arab-Israeli cooperation (the covenant) and the threat of Iran (Magog invasion.)

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/revealed-secret-plan-to-keep-iraq-under-us-control-840512.html

Bush wants 50 military bases, control of Iraqi airspace and legal immunity for all American soldiers and contractors

A secret deal being negotiated in Baghdad would perpetuate the American military occupation of Iraq indefinitely, regardless of the outcome of the US presidential election in November.

The terms of the impending deal, details of which have been leaked to The Independent, are likely to have an explosive political effect in Iraq. Iraqi officials fear that the accord, under which US troops would occupy permanent bases, conduct military operations, arrest Iraqis and enjoy immunity from Iraqi law, will destabilise Iraq's position in the Middle East and lay the basis for unending conflict in their country.

America currently has 151,000 troops in Iraq and, even after projected withdrawals next month, troop levels will stand at more than 142,000 – 10 000 more than when the military "surge" began in January 2007. Under the terms of the new treaty, the Americans would retain the long-term use of more than 50 bases in Iraq. American negotiators are also demanding immunity from Iraqi law for US troops and contractors, and a free hand to carry out arrests and conduct military activities in Iraq without consulting the Baghdad government.

The precise nature of the American demands has been kept secret until now. The leaks are certain to generate an angry backlash in Iraq. "It is a terrible breach of our sovereignty," said one Iraqi politician, adding that if the security deal was signed it would delegitimise the government in Baghdad which will be seen as an American pawn.

The US has repeatedly denied it wants permanent bases in Iraq but one Iraqi source said: "This is just a tactical subterfuge." Washington also wants control of Iraqi airspace below 29,000ft and the right to pursue its "war on terror" in Iraq, giving it the authority to arrest anybody it wants and to launch military campaigns without consultation.

Mr Bush is determined to force the Iraqi government to sign the so-called "strategic alliance" without modifications, by the end of next month. But it is already being condemned by the Iranians and many Arabs as a continuing American attempt to dominate the region. Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the powerful and usually moderate Iranian leader, said yesterday that such a deal would create "a permanent occupation". He added: "The essence of this agreement is to turn the Iraqis into slaves of the Americans."

Iraq's Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, is believed to be personally opposed to the terms of the new pact but feels his coalition government cannot stay in power without US backing.

Friends, one of the proposed bases is in Mosul.   Mosul is near the old Nineveh, the home of the Assyrian King of the North of the Old testament.  The Bow is being readied.  After the rapture, who gains access/control to the Bow?

New agreement lets US strike any country from inside Iraq

Baghdad: A proposed Iraqi-American security agreement will include permanent American bases in the country, and the right for the United States to strike, from within Iraqi territory, any country it considers a threat to its national security, Gulf News has learned.
Senior Iraqi military sources have told Gulf News that the long-term controversial agreement is likely to include three major items.

Under the agreement, Iraqi security institutions such as Defence, Interior and National Security ministries, as well as armament contracts, will be under American supervision for ten years.
The agreement is also likely to give American forces permanent military bases in the country, as well as the right to move against any country considered to be a threat against world stability or acting against Iraqi or American interests.

What we are seeing, dear reader, is the making of the bow of the antichrist for the fulfillment of Rev 6:2.   Many Americans believe that the United States will remove troops and that will open the door to "terrorism" (even Armageddon).  What they do not realize is that the US troops (depleted by the sudden Rapture) will actually be the army of the antichrist.  Essentially, these events are the Sunni-Shiite conflict (with the US coopting the Sunnis).

Unless you have been asleep you have noticed that a "people's revolt" is taking place in Egypt.  This story is making headlines worldwide.  There are prophecy websites saying that the events of this past week are fulfillments of Bible prophecies.

I doubt it. There may be some prophecy regarding this week, but, I am unaware of it.

However, the events are leading up to what WILL certainly be Bible prophecy fulfillment.

To understand what is happening, re-read the posts of
02-22-2005 and 07-03-2004 on this page.  Please note that the strategy all along is to take control of Egypt, The PrizeThe Prize is the terminology used in a powerpoint presentation before the Defense Policy Board PRIOR to the invasion of Iraq (March 2003).

What we are witnessing today in Egypt is an intelligence communty sponsored event which is continuing the policy set forth in at least as early as 2002, probably much earlier.  This is no spontaneous uprising.

The events do mean that the pressure for WAR and the pressure for PEACE are increasing.  The ultimate conqueror of Egypt will be the antichrist (see above).
