All of modern history can be best understood when you realize that in 1054 AD the Roman Church and the Eastern Church BOTH declared themselves to be the SOLE UNIVERSAL church.
All modern struggles, wars, crusades, WWI, WWII, the French Revolution, Napolean, Franco-Prussian Wars, overthrow of the czars (protector of the Eastern church and the Orthodox Serbians) are all "children" of the split of Rome into the 2 legs in the vision interpreted by Daniel. Understanding this history helps to understand the "Mother of Harlots and Abominations." Rome has sought to gain control over the Eastern church and to assert its "obligatory" right and duty to world primacy. This is according to the book Keys of this Blood by Malachi Martin.
Rome's "children" are not just religious, but political as well. These "children" are part of the "fornication with the kings of this earth". Unfortunately (for the world) this "fornication " is going to be transformed into "the wrath of her fornication " and for this reason the "ten kings" will destroy her. Contrast Rev 17:2 with Rev 14:8. See the Clash of Civilizations , an example of present and future "fornication."
Most of the mainstream books concerning endtimes have apparently forgotten that Daniel's (i.e., Nebuchadnezzars dream) "beast" has 2 legs, not one. Just because Rome is one of the legs, does not mean that Rome could not sponsor a member of the Eastern leg. If you check, you will find she has already done this (not that she is the only sponsor). Obviously, there are many sponsors of the eventual antichrist. When I say this, I do not mean that anyone consciously sponsors the antichrist. They have no idea that they are sponsoring an antichrist. They are merely positioning themselves around a leader in order to gain the maximum personal advantage. When the time comes, the "false prophet" may have already positioned himself to be in the inner circle of the risinig antichrist. In this manner, power could be "shared."
[Parenthetically speaking, when referring to "Rome", the Roman Catholic Church, the Vatican, etc, reference is being made to the Vatican political hierarchy in Rome, NOT to people otherwise associated with Catholicism, priests, parish church members/attendees, etc. In fact, the number one "dicastery" (department) in the Vatican Curia (administration) that is in charge of ALL departments, including the Office of Faith, is the Office of the Secretary of State. (This has been true since 1967 according to the Vatican's website, vatican.va). The present Secretary of State has become so powerful that Catholics have websites referring to the present Secretary of State (Sodano) as Pope Sodano I (tongue-in-cheek, of course).]
East-West reunification will be achieved via the personage of the Biblical antichrist. The fact that antichrist is to be sponsored and is not intrinsically strong is seen here-
Daniel 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
The sponsorship of antichrist will be part of the "fornication" of Rome. Even though he will initially be a political leader, ultimately he will be worshiped as god. His worship will be enforced worldwide. See Rev 13:15-17. Therefore the "reign" of antichrist is global in religious terms, not political.
Most believe the antichrist arises in Europe. The Bible appears to indicate otherwise. Read this from the book of Daniel and see if you can still maintain that antichrist is from the European Union.
Antichrist is from the east .
Read Malachi Martin's 1989 book published by Simon and Schuster The Keys of this Blood to see the depths of the ambition of the papacy. These are the words of a Vatican insider. All quotes (in italics) are from Martin's book except where indicated. We know what happens when we seek self promotion.
According to the book Martin is
"a consummate Vatican insider and intelligence expert - is a former Jesuit and professor at the Vatican's Pontifical Biblical Institute " (cover)
Malachi Martin died recently. His book is the
"untold story behind the Vatican's role in today's winner-take-all race against time to establish, maintain, and control the first one-world government. " (cover)
Martin says-
“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through… wide circles of American society and wide circles of the Christian community do not realize this fully… ” (p. 16)
What does Martin mean by "one-world government ?"
"dominated by an international bureaucracy which controls and directs every citizen and every nation for the good of all "
(p. 341)
Martin says that Russia (then Gorbachev), the Western Capitalists (not the United States), and the Vatican are the parties trying to control the " one-world government."
Martin says-
"Each one [of the combatants] has in mind a particular grand design for one-world governance" and " they all give speeches about an end to the nation system" (p. 18)
In Martin's book he says that there are industrial interests who do not consider themselves as citizens of any nation. Therefore, it is impossible for them to be a traitor since their financial interests transcend all laws.
Describing the industrialists, Martin says they
"don't really mind what sort of government a country has, provided that they can pay their bills."
This means as long as the government pays the merchants, the politicians stay in power. No wonder the merchants mourn in Revelation 18 when Babylon the Great no longer buys "their merchandise ." (p. 326,327)
"Twelve to fifteen of these men control the flow of capital and goods throughout the entire world" - as Bill Moyers recently discovered. (p. 326,327)
Just to give you an idea-
The power of the "merchants" is enormous. An example of the centralization and continuity of this power is manifest in the person of John J. McCloy, the "first citizen of the CFR", according to Henry Kissinger, another CFR member. The point here is that there is power that transcends presidential elections.
Mr. McCloy did ALL of the following:
a. Jean Monnet's (the "father" of the EEC) lawyer
b. Assistant Secretary of War (1941)
c. Funneled $15 billion to Stalin
d. Involved in the decision to drop the bomb on Japan
e. Fired Patton (for threatening the "world order")
f. Fired MacArthur (for opposing the U.N. crowd)
g. Legal arm of the Rockefellers
h. President of the World Bank (1946)
i. High Commissioner of Germany after WWII
j. OPEC (the international oil cartel) creator
k. Originated many New World Order projects of the Ford Foundation
l. Originated the EEC (the European Economic Community)
m. Counsel to the "seven sister" oil companies.
n. Appointed McNamara, Kissinger, and Rusk
o. A member of the Warren Commission (Kennedy assassination)
p. Selected Nixon's cabinet
q. Chairman of the powerful CFR ('53-'70)
r. Chairman of the Ford Foundation
s. Chairman of the Rockefeller's Chase Manhattan Bank
t. Advisor and friend to nine presidents from Roosevelt to Reagan
In spite of the obvious power of these men, Martin says,
"the Pope need not assess these globalists as serious contenders with himself and Gorbachev in the arena of the millennium endgame ." (p. 333-337)
Further, Martin says-
"if tomorrow or next week, by a sudden miracle, a one-world government were established, the Church would not have to undergo any essential structural change in order to retain its DOMINANT position and to FURTHER its GLOBAL aims." (* emphasis added) (p. 143)
The question could be asked - how could such a statement be true? Perhaps, Martin answers the question-
Read of the Vatican's "fornication" with the "kings of the earth ."
Martin says that John Paul II is OBLIGATED to achieve the primacy of the Roman Church, because the papal office holds " The Keys of this ( Jesus') Blood" as its source of authority.
According to Martin, John Paul II does or should-
"claim[s] for his papal persona the right, the privilege, the DUTY, and the due authority to stand as JUDGE ." (* emphasis added) (p. 345)
Martin says John Paul II -
"will be crowned with a success never registered in the life of any preceding Pope ... in effect, in the sight of all nations, his AUTHORITY ... will be declared in the skies ABOVE EVERY NATION.. ." (* emphasis added). (p. 464-465)
Further, Martin says-
"The other two major contenders in the millennium endgame will be ELIMINATED " (* emphasis added). (p. 657)
"In ALL phases of education, in ALL aspects of moral behavior, and in ALL questions about the ultimate truths undergirding the life and death of every human being, this man claims for his papal persona the right, the privilege, the duty, and the due authority to stand as JUDGE. None of the Internationalist-Transnationalist ideals are outside that claim or exempt from that judgment" (* emphasis added). (p. 345)
According to Martin the Pope believes that -
"[He] is waiting. God must first intervene, before John Paul's major ministry to all men can start." (p. 656)
"... the tribulations will follow..." (p. 657)
"he cannot but emerge as the most powerful man alive in his time " (p. 483)
Continuing with the pope's views in Martin's book we find:
Martin says-
"Outside the Catholic Church, there is NO SALVATION " (* emphasis added). (p. 311)
Concerning the ecumenical, Martin says-
"there is no unity possible ... other than by an exercise of the ... solidarity to which the [Roman] Church calls us all ... in the light of the Church's tradition." (p. 311)
So much for the ecumenical unity so often advocated by Vatican diplomacy.
Martin says-
The Pope is "waiting" on an "event" whose " timing and occasion he is powerless to determine, and the nature of which he cannot in any way influence..." " backed up by that event, he cannot but emerge as the most powerful man alive in his time ." (p. 483)
"He is waiting, rather, for an event that will fission human history, splitting the immediate past from the oncoming future.
(p. 639)
It will be "an event ON PUBLIC VIEW IN THE SKIES, IN THE OCEANS, AND ON THE CONTINENTAL LANDMASSES OF THIS PLANET. It will particularly involve our HUMAN SUN... but on the day of this event...it will be see as the circumambient GLORY OF THE WOMAN whom the apostle describes as "clothed with sun" and giving birth to "a child who will rule the nations with a scepter of iron." (p. 639)

Martin says concerning the May 13 1981 assassination attempt of the pope and the Fatima miracle-
"It was not lost on him, however, that the attempt on his life had taken place on May 13. Or that a series of very curious SUPERNATURAL EVENTS - events of intimate interest to the papacy- had begun on May 13, 1917, in the obscure Portuguese hamlet of Fatima, and had ended there on October 13 of the same year with a MIRACLE centered on the VIRGIN MARY and her apparent POWER TO CONTROL THE SUN in SPECTACULAR WAYS... (p. 47-50)
"Clearly, the new agenda - Heaven's agenda; the Grand Design of God for the new world order- had begun...[Pope John Paul] was MORE THAN A GEOPOLITICAL GIANT of his age. He was, and remains, the serene and CONFIDENT SERVANT OF THE GRAND DESIGN." (all emphasis added) (p. 47-50)
The miracle at Fatima was described as the "dance of the sun ," a spinning motion. Then the "sun roamed back and forth among the clouds, seeming to tremble and pulsate within itself ... occasionally stopping and spinning again on its own axis. Then, without warning, it PLUNGED FROM ITS POSITION ABOVE THE CLOUDS, HURTLED in zigzag fashion TOWARD the EARTH [causing] white-faced fear ... as that solar disk ... came closer and closer, appearing bigger and bigger ...
As this molten mass of light and heat zigzagged downward, cries of anguish and horror, prayers and exclamations, rose up: "It's the END OF THE WORLD!" WE WILL ALL DIE!
...[the scene ends with] NO WATER on the ground, no mud. All was dry and dusty."

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Revelation 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed .

A little news was released today. Could it have implications for the False Prophet? This man is the "Quartet Envoy to the Middle East." Could he become the False Prophet? He is as good a candidate as anyone else out there. He now stands inside the
"Mother Church" and he is the political representative of the Quartet. Pretty good starting points, if you ask me.

Blair takes communion, converts to Catholicism
Just days before Christmas, former British prime minister Tony Blair converted to Roman Catholicism, his official spokesman confirmed on Saturday.
The move came after speculation that Blair, 54, who is currently serving as the Quartet envoy to the Middle East, would convert from his Anglican faith after leaving office.
Blair was received into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church by Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor during Mass at the Archbishop's House in Westminster in central London on Friday night.
"I am very glad to welcome Tony Blair into the Catholic Church," Murphy-O'Connor said. "For a long time he has been a regular worshipper at Mass with his family, and in recent months he has been following a program of formation to prepare for his reception into full communion."
"My prayers are with him, his wife and family at this joyful moment in their journey of faith together," he added.
Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, the Anglican leader, wished Blair well.
"A great Catholic writer of the last century said that the only reason for moving from one Christian family to another was to deepen one's relationship with God," he said. "I pray that this will be the result of Tony Blair's decision in his personal life."
Blair's wife Cherie is
already a practicing Roman Catholic, and
the couple's four children have attended Catholic schools. Blair met
Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in June.

I have written a number of caveats concerning LaRouche, but, he is connected. There is some truth to what he is saying. We read in Dispensational Truth by Larkin
"When Attalus III, the Priest-King of the Chaldean Hierarchy, fled before the conquering Persians to Pergamos, and settled there, Satan shifted his capital from Babylon to Pergamos. At first he persecuted the followers of Christ, and Antipas was one of the martyrs. But soon he changed his tactics and began to exalt the church, and through Constantine united the Church and State...Constantine wished to weld his Christian and Pagan subjects into one people, and so consolidate his empire ."
Please note that the priest king fled to Pergamos ("where Satan's seat is" in Revelation).
In Morris Kline's Mathematic Thought from Ancient to Modern Times by Oxford Univ Press, a secular source, it is said that Attalus of Pergamum left his books to Rome. Mark Antony had given this collection to Cleopatra, which when added to the Babylonian temple books not burned came to an enormous total.
Furthermore, Dispensational Truth by Larkin says that this same Attalus, "the Pontiff and King of Pergamos, died in 133 B.C. [and] bequeathed the headship of the "Babylonian Priesthood" to Rome...In B.C. 63 Caesar was made "Supreme Pontiff" of the Babylonian Order, thus becoming heir to the rights and titles of Attalus, Pontiff of Pergamos, who had made Rome his heir by will...So in AD 378 the Head of the "Babylonian Order" became the Ruler of the "Roman Church. Thus Satan united Rome and Babylon In One Religious System."

Circa 1992 this author submitted a 200+ page manuscript to a "conservative" publisher to ascertain the feasibility of publishing an overly ambitious study of history (in a Biblical framework) from 1054 AD until 1992. This study (an attempt to define the "iron and the clay" of Daniel) was somewhat unique in that it dealt with the then current activities of Babylon the Great and those with whom she grappled to control the so-called "world order." The present author chose not to pursue the publishing of the manuscript either then or now. However, in conversation the prospective publisher suggested something that until recently was forgotten. "Why don't you expand your book to include family values, abortion, birth control, women in the priesthood...?"
The suggestion of 1992 returned to memory while watching Tim Russert's MSNBC "Meet the Press" recently. In a discussion of the new pope, Pope Benedict XVI, the entire show consisted essentially of a discussion of the extent to which Benedict XVI would enforce "conformity" on the issues of abortion, birth control, women in the priesthood, etc. Apparently, the only thing the Vatican is involved with is family values, abortion, birth control, women in the priesthood (since that is all we can discuss in the public forum in America.)
There has been a discussion of the meaning of the pope's taken name, Benedict XVI. The discussion has included the so-called "prophecy" of St Malachy , circa 1139 AD, in which Malachy presumably predicted the nature of future papacies as they relate to the second coming. Author's comment - caveat emptor. Unless one has been in touch with the angel of the Lord, one has been in touch with an "angel of light." (And no marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. - 2 Cor 11:14) The latter is the case here. In the late 2010's, the Protestant Churches will move towards unification with the Catholic Church. This process of repentance and conversion and unification will take years...
The Arabs forces will win World War III and will occupy a vast territory for many years. They will oppress and persecute Christians...
The "prophecy" (if believed and followed) will lead to catastrophe for the adherents. The "prophecy" seduces the adherents to seize the "kingdom of heaven" from the "Arab forces." If the truth were known, the name Benedict XVI was selected in advance in the Curia and perhaps the "prophecy" is really a convenient expression of an already conceived political-religious strategy. Witness the "Secrets of Fatima" vision as justification for the proposed 1950s preemptive strike against the Soviet Union, advocated in the 1951 Colliers Magazine. Since the pontificate of John XXIII (1958) all we have seen is Johns and Pauls. Successively, we have had John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, and John Paul II - until now. To understand the new name Benedict, a contrast to the previous four, it would be helpful to understand the political aspects surrounding the previous four. The struggle for control of the Vatican by the CIA and the KGB is a matter of historical record (even though not widely understood).

In 1958 Stalin's agents in the Vatican succeeded in the election of Roncalli (after eleven bitterly fought ballots) to the papal office by outwitting the CIA agents in the Vatican. Roncalli appropriately took the name of an anti-pope, Pope John XXIII - intent on fulfilling his preelection promise of creating a "reformation" as significant as the Protestant Reformation. He started by driving out all the Jesuit CIA sympathizers (whom he called "pestilential rats") from the Vatican within 48 hours of his coronation.
We know of the mysterious death of the 33 day pope, John Paul I (named so to continue the pro-Soviet policies of his predecessors?). We also know from Time Magazine of Feb 28, 1992 that Pope John Paul II conspired with Ronald Reagan to promote the Solidarity movement in Poland. According to The Keys of this Blood by Martin (p 483) Solidarity might have been something other than what Reagan believed.
Since Malachi Martin, former professor at the Pontifical Bible Institute, on page 657 of The Keys stated
then, perhaps, the name Benedict XVI is an indication of the papacy's return to preeminence, over Russia and the capitalist west.

The choice of the name gives the clues to what I believe will be the three main characteristics of the former cardinal Joseph Ratzinger's papacy: He will follow the original Pope Benedict, the patron saint of Europe, in working tirelessly for the Christianisation of Europe meaning pulling it back to its Catholic roots. He will also resolutely follow the footsteps of Benedict XV, known as a man of peace, the man who worked to dissuade the United States from entering World War I.
The Pope, a deeply spiritual and meditative man, has chosen the name of the man who founded Western monasticism, as he is a passionate believer in the power of holiness and faith.
Cardinal Ratzinger has always believed that it was spiritual, not merely intellectual, power which was the most transformative and decisive and which was the source of real peace. And, in his view, there is no continent that is more urgently in need of saving from the war of secular humanism and relativism than Europe.
The big North American networks
and cable stations continue to miss the big issues, focusing on the
American obsession with sexual issues contraception, condoms,
homosexuality, divorce and remarriage, celibacy for priests, while
ignoring larger philosophical and geopolitical
issues..
On Monday, as the cardinals prepared to go into conclave, Ratzinger could not resist giving a philosophical lecture, as though it were the days of Tubingen, that famed centre of liberalism and relativism.
"The modern world," Ratzinger bemoaned, had jumped "from one extreme to the other: from Marxism to liberalism up to libertinism; from collectivism to radical individualism; from atheism to a vague religious mysticism; from agnosticism to syncretism and on and on." Then, taking on his critics frontally firing the intellectual salvo before they could crank up the formidable philosopher said, "to have a clear faith according to the church's creed is today often labelled fundamentalism." These are fighting words.
...As the former prefect of the dreaded and, in some circles, despised congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, formerly known as the Office of Holy Inquisition, he acquired a number of unfavourable nicknames. He has moved against dissenting theologians, such as Leonardo Boff, Hans Kung and Charles Curran and has constantly rebuffed those who wanted the church to open discussion on women in the priesthood, mandatory celibacy, contraception, etc.
While he is ecumenical, he has left absolutely no doubt that he believes the Catholic Church is God's special institution on earth. No document from the Catholic Church in the last few decades has irked Protestants and Anglicans more than the one he issued from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in September, 2001, titled Dominus Iesus (On the Unicity and Salvific Universality of Jesus Christ and the Church).
This document shows that the Protestant and Anglican churches are deficient and that "the single church of Christ which, our saviour, after his resurrection, entrusted to Peter's pastoral care" is the Catholic Church. In this document, he categorically rejected ecumenical attempts to define the church purely as an organism without particular organisational and ecclesiastical boundaries.
...Dominus Iesus goes as far as to say that "the fullness of Christ's salvific mystery belongs also to the church; inseparably united to her Lord. Indeed, Jesus Christ continues his presence and his work of salvation in the church and by means of the Church." The document also quotes the Second Vatican Council as saying: "the Christian faithful are, therefore, not permitted to imagine the Church of Christ is nothing more than a collection divided, yet in some way one of churches and ecclesial communities; nor are they free to hold that today the Church of Christ nowhere really exists and must be considered only as a goal which all churches and ecclesial communities must strive to reach." Ratzinger, who worked on the Second Vatican Council, turned the liberals' trump card against them, showing what a masterful polemicist and debater he is.
...He will be the philosopher-theologian Pope, in a way that not even his predecessor was.
And
he will attempt, far more than John Paul, to give identity and
direction to Europe. Samuel Huntington was right: The post-Cold War
clash is the clash of civilizations. Not just between Christianity and
Islam, but between American Protestantism and European Catholocism.
At a time when the religious right is gaining ascendancy in the United
States, the Pope dreads even more, Europe's severing of its Catholic
roots. He will use the moral
force of the papacy to attempt to reverse that, while trying to
constrain the power and adventurism of Protestant America.

George Bush will soon learn that and so will the liberals in the Catholic Church. Pope Benedict has pledged to unify Christians, but his papacy is likely to sharpen the divisions. Because he believes in objective truth and not popularity polls or the latest social trends, he will never compromise his conviction of truth for the sake of unity.

Unlike Ronald Reagan and John Paul II, the vice president and the new pope do not have large-scale charisma or sunny faces to soften their harsh "my way or the highway" policies. Their gloomy world outlooks and bullying roles earned them the nicknames Dr. No and Cardinal No. One is called Washington's Darth Vader, the other the Vatican's Darth Vader.
W.'s Doberman and John Paul's "God's Rottweiler," as the new pope was called, are both global enforcers with cult followings. Just as the vice president acted to solidify the view of America as a hyperpower, so the new pope views the Roman Catholic Church as the one true religion. He once branded other faiths as deficient.

The institution of "The Vatican" is not understood by Israelis and Jews. The conventional wisdom you get from the spokespersons in Israeli government ministries and the conventional Israeli media is "both sides have great intentions to do good" and that's about it. When it comes to Israel's bi-lateral affairs, nothing much gets investigated by the Israeli media. Thus a secret deal could be done between the Vatican and the State of Israel and nobody in Israel would ever find out about it.
In fact, that is exactly what happened.
This essay will provide the background to that deal, as well as what the Vatican's intentions are regarding Israel and The Old City Of Jerusalem. It will reveal which Israeli politicians made certain commitments to The Vatican regarding the issue of sovereignty in the Old City of Jerusalem. These negotiations and meetings were all carried out in secret. During this time period, 1992-l995, the Oslo Accords was what got all the public's attention. Oslo was like "throwing sand in the eyes" of the public. The Vatican is where the real action was happening. Oslo seemed to be just the cover story. A "red herring", if you will.

They already have that as well as legal jurisdiction under Israeli law for their institutions and assets in Jerusalem. Also, when these "Holy Sites" were under the jurisdiction of the Jordanians from l948-l967, no Pope demanded the "internationalization of Jerusalem".
It is something else, which the Vatican wants. The Roman Catholic Church, need to have certain versions of events be played out for them to stand in front of mankind and proclaim: our Messiah has returned." Of course, to the Jews, this Messiah will be as false as the first one was supposed to be. Don't matter. This is the goal of the Vatican and this is what all Israelis need to worry about.

First, you have to realize that for centuries The Vatican has attempted to obtain control of Jerusalem, which started with the Crusades. For them to convince the world that the Messiah they put on the world's stage is going to be accepted as genuine, they need to perform this play in the Old City. The story of this production is that this "Messiah" will merge the three monotheistic religions, usher in peace and harmony in the world, and solve the Middle East conflict. The location for this "production" will be in none other than the Old City of Jerusalem. This will be a lie, and a fraud, but never mind. In our world, reality isn't important. Public perceptions are. Jews cannot be trusted with ownership of their ancient capital
The Roman Catholic Church says the Jewish state cannot be trusted to exercise control over the city of Jerusalem – ancient and eternal capital of the people of Israel.
In a statement whose arrogance and contempt he seemingly could not see, the Vatican’s legal advisor in Israel, David Jaeger, told an international conference in Haifa Tuesday that Jerusalem was too important a city to leave in the hands of either “Palestinians” or Jews.
Jaeger’s view was that the status of Jerusalem required the approval of the international community as a whole.
Ironically the Vatican, which claims to be spiritual home to one billion of the world’s Christians, rejects the biblical stipulation granting everlasting possession of ancient Canaan, inclusive of Jerusalem, to the Jewish people.
Since
1947 it has sought to have Jerusalem internationalized,
confident that with Rome’s massive global constituency the pope will be
able to exercise substantial control over the city.

VATICAN CITY, APRIL 6, 2006 .- Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres said that Benedict XVI had told him he hoped he would be able to visit the Holy Land in 2007.
During a papal audience today, Peres, a senior Kadima party politician and Nobel Peace Prize winner, transmitted to the Holy Father the invitation presented by interim Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Vatican spokesman Joaquín Navarro Valls published a statement after the audience, confirming the invitation but making no mention of a date for the trip.
"In the talks there was an exchange of opinions on the topic of peace in the Holy Land, in respect of the United Nations resolutions and agreements reached to date," the Vatican spokesman said. "In this context, all forms of terrorism, regardless of any pretext to justify them, were unanimously condemned," Navarro Valls noted. He added: "Relations between the state of Israel and the Holy See were also examined -- in the light of agreements endorsed in 1993 and 1997 -- as well as the relations of Israeli authorities with the country's Christian communities." After being received by the Bishop of Rome, Peres met with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Angelo Sodano.

Today, the President of the Southern Baptist Convention arrived via private jet at (of all places) a US military base, Andrews Airforce Base, for a religious visit to his subject nation, the United States of America. One wonders if the Presbyterians and Methodists are somewhat jealous (and the polygamist SDA compounders worthy of news reporting by Nancy Grace, or is it Nancy Law?) . [Parenthetical- It is an amazing fact of "Darwinian evolution - DNA predestination" that supposed fundamentalists evolve from one-celled creatures into a species living in a compound, a media word for torture chamber. Must be genetic Calvinism.]
The people of the United States, the media, and the whole world are watching with great hope and anticipation at the thrill of the Baptist's visit and the joy of hearing the Most Right Reverend's wisdom for us (as he makes his journey through key locations within the country).
Amazingly, the head of a church, the Baptist Church, is going to make his first stop on his crusade, with full diplomatic honors, at the house of the Reverend's most visible lay political partner, the President of the United States. This will occur on April 16. Here in the United States where we have the "separation of church and state", the head of the Baptist faith is being received with full honors at the White House and NOT one person in the liberal (LOL) national media is voicing a single complaint. I must conclude that the Baptist Church is exempt from the separation of church and state. If need be, we can get a Supreme Court Judge to explain. After all, there are some Baptists on the court.
On Thursday 17th of April at 10:00AM the Reverend is preaching a sermon on the importance of water baptism at the National Parks Stadium.
At 5:00PM on the 17th of April the Reverend is speaking on the importance of Baptist education at the Baptist University of America (also in Washington DC).
On the 17th of April at 6:30PM the Reverend is holding an Experiencing God, Purpose Driven Life, Purpose Driven Church, seminar at the John Paul II Cultural Center (and representatives of other religions are invited). The Reverend has previously prepared these other religions to accept him via the Experiencing God (and Purpose Driven) Programs being widely distributed among their churches.
On Sunday April 20th at 9:30 AM the head of the Baptist Church visits ground zero, the site of the disaster at the WTC.
The ironic thing about this disaster is that it lead to the Baptist Reverend's church becoming the champion of peace and unity for the religion of the people some of whom were reported to be the perpetrators of the disaster. Another irony is that the disaster also lead to the Baptist Reverend's most visible lay partner's execution of a plan to invade Iraq (a plan prepared prior to 9-11).
Oh, the irony of partnerships! Good cop, bad cop? Well, if the suspect becomes incarcerated, who is to say partnerships are bad?

It serves no purpose to point out all the details of the "fornication" of Babylon the Great because to do so one would have to enter into the battle and participate, which many unwittingly or otherwise are doing. Furthermore, since the more recent strategy ("fornication") is to create religious strife ( Muslim versus Christian ) and (Catholic versus Protestant), the more you discuss the "conspiracy", the more you run the risk of making the conflict a reality by increasing fear among the people. In fact, one wonders why there is so much readily available information to discredit the Vatican. It has the appearance of a deliberate strategy.
Therefore, we are finished talking on this subject until the Lord comes to get the believers. Remember the words of Jesus - "if my servants were of this world, they would fight." Since we are not of this world, let the world do what it will. We await the " blessed hope" of Jesus Christ's "shout" from his own voice calling us home and nothing else.
We know very little about world politics. All the present author knows is what he reads which is readily available to all. The only reason the present author looked carefully at these readily available books - he believes the Bible is true, he knew what the Bible said, and he knew that the world system as described in Revelation was not going to fall out of the sky the day after the rapture. So, therefore, he simply "watched" because he wanted to try to understand why men do things.
He found that ALL men do things for the same reason - SELF. Men can not stop building things on their own anvil. If a man is not defeated, he does not NEED grace. Grace can not come to a "rich" man. Grace comes to "poor" men - men with needs, defeated men. There are not many "wise" men chosen. It is the helpless "babes" whom God nourishes and saves. "These things are hid from the wise and the prudent, but revealed unto babes."
In case we miss it the first time, the Bible tells us twice in Proverbs that what "seems right" are "the ways of death."
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
"The proud in heart is an ABOMINATION to God. "
We are all saved from the fate of our own selves by the Grace of God only. This includes being saved from our own ambitions.
We all need deliverance from our own "devices ." God help us. He is our only help. Otherwise, God could give us what we "want" and send "leanness into our souls."
My advice-
If you are going to study Babylon the Great and you do not have a right relationship with the Lord, I would stop now, because what is hammered on your own anvil will be better than what is hammered on the anvil of others, a spiritually dangerous situation.
When I think of what is happening to worldy men, it is a painful thing.
I thank the Lord because he defeated me. Mathew 21:44 says either you fall on the stone and are "broken" or the stone falls on you and "grinds you to powder."
