What is the Thinking of the Antichrist? - A Warning to Us All

To Honor Jesus Christ, Glorify God, Encourage Believers, & Warn All

This information is offered with the hope that YOU can come to KNOW the Lord personally.

What would the THINKING of the antichrist be?  Would he believe he is evil?  Would he be deceived himself?  Our answer is in the Bible.

Isaiah 10:7   Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

So, we see that he does not set out to (“meaneth not”) nor does his “heart think so”, but “it IS in his heart” (and yet he is not aware of it).  Friend, there are many people who attend church who believe that “sin” consists of adultery, drinking, drugs, murder, and robbery.  Since they do none of these, they are not “wicked.”  David prayed the following prayer:

Psalms 139:24   And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalms 17:3   Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

David, was praying that NOTHING be found in him.  He was to be emptied of self.

Psalms 90:8   Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

We have ”secret sins”, unknown to us; The Lord certainly knows them.  So, they become visible to us when we come face-to-face with Jesus (“thy countenance”).  So, if this is true of a believer, even a “man after God’s own heart”, King David, then, it certainly can be true of an unbeliever, the antichrist.

This should serve as a WARNING to us all that the heart is indeed " desperately wicked."

Jeremiah 17:9   The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

When I think on this it is a fearful thing to ponder.  All men's hearts are deceitful and desperate to prove themselves right.  If it were not for the mercy of the Lord, we would have no chance whatsoever.

In case we miss it the first time, the Bible tells us twice in Proverbs that what "seems right" are "the ways of death."

Proverbs 14:12   There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Proverbs 16:25   There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

It seems right that if we go to church, help our neighbor, do good works, and so on that all is well.  Let us see ourselves as God sees us.

Prayerfully consider our attitudes (our heart condition) .
